^^^ That is innovative. I never thought of it. Might have to give it a try. I, too, have chocolate protein powder on hand.

^^^ That is innovative. I never thought of it. Might have to give it a try. I, too, have chocolate protein powder on hand. I was mistaken. I didn't sleep well last night and I had a chiropractor appointment this morning. I expected my wife to be gone, but when I went in the kitchen she had scrambled eggs, bacon, RAISIN toast and coffee. So I had that. Maybe I will have the shake for lunch. I find that I need to dissolve the coffee in a little hot water before adding the protein powder and milk. A couple of ice cubes cools it nicely. I can't do a full Keto diet because of my kidney.

Looks like I will have to whip up another batch of Naan. I am an addict. 1/2 whole wheat, 1/2 biscuit flour. This time , instead of buttermilk I will use kefir. Somewhere, I have a small sack of RAISINs, seeds and nuts for baking. I may just glance at it while I make the bread.

I was going to fire up the Weber Grill to cook a T-Bone this evening. However, it is snowing. So, I might try the kitchen Kiva fireplace. I do not want to stand in the snow trying to grill.

Being under the weather the wife completely over cooked a T-bone until it was devoid of flavor. However the green beans were very good and I just finished them off while preparing a coffee.

Cooked the T-Bone in the kitchen Kiva charcoal grill and it came out great. I only ate half. A two day steak. Then I threw two lamb steaks on the remaining coals. A neighbors sheep.

Just toast with tea in me new pot. I had a need for a pot made in Britain. Hard to find because so much of manufacturing has disappeared in the UK. Not that an English made pot is better than one from China, the Chinese invented porcelain. I just miss stuff made in Britain and hope they will start up again once they exit that Yer-up thingy they belong to.

Last night we had fresh pork butt ,from the slow cooker. Sides were boiled cabbage and golden potatoes, and a bowl of diced carrots, and parsnips .
tonight the leftover pork will become bar-b-q...a new to me jar sauce, Schultz's, a vinegar base with lots of black pepper, will add a nice zip to the pulled pork...served on large potato rolls with onion rings and slaw for sides...later perhaps, baked apple halfs with butter and ginger, plus coffee!

Prome rib, brocolli and mashed taters from last night. The couple I was working for cooked it last night for ME to show their appreciation for the work, late hours and quality of the work.
They sent a huge plate home with me tonight.
Delicious

I went out like a light { darn that recliner} and ,were it not for the "four-footers", I'd still be sleeping away. Sharon, my wife, knows only too well to leave as I am when I fall into a food coma!!! Oh...no apples or such either...my lids fell before the coffee was even ready.

Dinner at my Italian-American neighbor's house. He made several St. Louis style thin crust Pizza Pies, his tomato sauce, three cheeses, sausage. Excellent. I hate about five slices. Caesar salad, green chile mac and cheese. Conviviality with other neighbors. A great evening.
