Homemade Toasted Caramel Port. This is the 1st bottle I opened. It is tasting great at ~ 10 months. So good, that I just ordered another kit to make this fall/winter.

So I have an improved method. I love coke zero flat. Too many bubbles will bit my tongue when smoking.
I pour out a bowl or two of coke zero, and put the in the fridge. The flatten out much more quickly than just leaving the can or bottle open.
Coke Zero flat, chasing a big churchwarden full of War Horse. The black labelled one. In addition to being an excellent tasting tobacco, it is one of my favorite labels. And my stash of War Horse tins are not half obscured with warnings.
As long as I have your attention, the other night at the bar the woman with whom I was enjoying adult beverages introduced me to a gross looking drink that is not bad. Peach schnapps layered over with Irish cream, and a few drops of grenadine. It looks like some horrible piece of skin colored flesh with blood stained streaming tentacles reaching to the bottom of the glass. It is apparently called a Brain Aneurysm.
Ahhh, she was of a different generation. I drank the shot, not bad, and went back to my Knob Creek Old Fashioned double bitters double cherry, and we continued our conversation as to why she might quit cigarettes and take up pipe smoking, and ways to get that started.

After a few hours of assisting my insane neighbor with his Fed Ex/Amazon problems on-line and on the phone, I am ready for a Martini.
This guy constantly has problems getting things delivered. I suspect he is scamming them as no one can have so many issues. They guy is completely insane, a former patient of Camarillo State Hospital in California. I am one of the few people here with the patience to deal with him. He can weave a story of such beautiful complexity and be completely false without a single tell he is fibbing. I believe nothing he says ever and simply enjoy his imagination. He is not dangerous but he is nuts.
So, Bombay Gin, Martini & Rossi Blanco Vermouth, a large Spanish stuffed olive, two mini ice cubes. I might have to make another one.

(5 cousins) I know what you mean. But they weren't harmless, they just seemed like it.

Coffee...just opened up a box of stuff that has been sitting in a closet for a while...actually brought from my home in Miami from many years ago...an unopened bottle of Crown Royal with the label stating 1968...guess it should be pretty well aged by now...haven't cracked the seal yet.

Enjoying a bottle of Gewürztraminer tonight. Had it with dinner. Now sipping it as I'm watching TV and catching up on the Briar Patch. Bought this wine a couple months ago in Wisconsin, Door County, Simon Creek Vineyards. A pretty good Gewürztraminer, which I like to drink with Asian style dishes. Wish I had bought more. Here's a photo I took in Door County. Wasn't sure if this was real - or if I'd just had too much wine!
