Not in the glass...in the can. Fosters Lager If you ever see me drinking it in the glass, that means I have a Keg-e-rator and have serious problems. I buy the big cans of Foster's and, as with all other beers, poor it into a glass. I enjoy seeing the color and the head. I like the aroma. I just like it out of a glass, or stein or flagon, or bull horn.

A Rye Toddy with fresh squeezed lemon juice, turbinado simple syrup, hot water, of course. Cold, cold, cold. It really helps to warm up.

Pretty stout and it has a bite sort of reminds me of the old Wild Turkey but a lot stronger strength wise. If you like sipping whiskey it is a winner. Certainly better than Woodford Reserve which I believe is swill.

Buddy just brought more moonshine for my daughters medical concentrates. Dipped my finger in. One drop on my tongue. Sneezing and coughing made me have to sit down. I don't know how people drink this 😖.

I don't know how people drink this 😖. It's like any other poison. You take a little bit everyday day and you build up a tolerance. Then it kills you.

I don't know how people drink this 😖. I ran a Still here for years. Diluted my product to the neighborhood of 107 - 110 proof using our creek water from up high in the mountains. "Old Rabbit's Foot" was quite popular here ("Absolutely NO bothersome aging") . I had a special method which made for a drinkable spirit.

We used to spend a lot of time at a friend's house on the river in Wimberley, and there was a neighbor who was an old bootlegger from prohibition times. He always had a supply that he brought back from Tennessee. I accepted a small glass once. I was regularly drinking bourbon at the time, but this was like gasoline. I took one sip and gradually spilled the rest on the grass. He drank his and put on a 78 rpm record he recorded with his friends, hillbilly music and danced a jig. He reminisced about his Ford pickup with the false bed and his goat that rode on top of the moonshine and kept him from getting caught. Grover was his name and he should be remembered. They broke the mold a long time ago.

Knob Hill Single Barrel 120 proof x three fingers and three rocks. I am starting to like these unfiltered 120 proof blends that the better half has blessed me with this year.

Nothing. I had to cut back my caffeine drastically all of a sudden. Started having scary heart episodes, figured out it was the pot of coffee a day, along with sweet tea and Dr Pepper. Cut back to 1 or 2 cups a day, and it all went away.
When I was in Africa, I discovered a hot tea I really enjoyed, called rooibos (sp?). It ihas no caffeine, so I’m going to order some and start drinking that hot. In the meantime, my milk consumption has gone through the roof.

I don’t remember that tea when I was last in Africa. I do remember drinking a lot of herbal and loose teas in Egypt and Sudan.

It’s also called “red bush tea” and it grows in South Africa. I have some black tea from Turkey that my son brought me back from deployment over there. I really like that too, although I can’t read the bag. But I suspect it has a lot of caffeine.
