Ah! Today is particularly wonderful. I'm guessing that you aren't originally from Texas, are you?

Had to work today. Plan to do chores tomorrow. At my folks watching how’s it made. I like seeing my parents and we enjoy watching this and jeopardy. Beats the constant drone of the news.

Great day here in central Illinois today. Sunny and in the 70's. A little windy. Had a 200 yard shoot today. Had a great time. Proved to myself that my "standard" 150gr BTSP (Hornady) .308 cal reload is better (in my rifle) than the Winchester 150gr factory round. Tested a couple other reloads with 165gr BTSP bullets. One had a great grouping, but was low a few inches - which I can compensate for by aiming ~0.5" mildots higher. I'm no great marksman, but here are the results: My "standard" .308 load: Winchester factory rounds: Tested 165gr load. Good group (except for 1 shot) - but a bit low:

Happy Sunday everyone. I spent an hour just sitting outside enjoying the low 60s weather. Watched my dogs play and enjoyed me a bowl of Bengal slices.

Moved about 25 boxes up into the loft. I need longer slings to move the bigger boxes. About to unload the trailer. We had an antique dealer come by and haul off about $5k worth of furniture that we didn't have room for or time to sell.

We had an antique dealer come by and haul off about $5k worth of furniture that we didn't have room for or time to sell. I ran into that when I moved from California, a full 27’ trailer and a rented 25’ straight truck. None of our furniture worked in our Arizona home, and I had to practically give away the furniture, lesson learned. If we move any distance in the future, most everything goes and we will shop at consignment stores for like new furniture at a fraction of the price.

Now I have more junk than I will ever use. I need to have a massive yard sale.

You're gonna have to import the people, John, to have a yard sale.

It's cold this morning, about 20°. But the wind isnt blowing, and the sun is out.
I have to deliver the last customer mare of the season back home today. Other than that, nothing on the schedule. I think we might do some more chainsaw work and get firewood stocked for the man cave.

They got the furnace fixed again this morning. Luckily it's been pretty mild. Spent 2 hours trying to cancel my Tivo service. They don't publish the phone number on the site. Have to go through 11 menus and a chat just to get it. I hate when companies do that kind of crap.

(But then you don't hunt...)

Just ordered my workshop/mancave. So quite excited by it all. Of course it will not be built till January maybe February. 12 x 16ft enough for restoring estate pipes/my sons trying to learn to make knifes and a quite place to sit and enjoy my pipes.

I got a 16x30 barn in September and still fixing it up. I'm carving out a 10x16 shop and the rest will be trike and lawnmower parking, etc. I can hardly wait. Congratulations on your new shop.

The county came through today with a 30 foot wide brushhog! Took out all the weeds in the ditch. Looks really nice. That was an impressive machine.

A quick run to momma's work with the secure server and a short stop at the ceegar shop on the way back home. Momma got her new Brooks sneakers and we grabbed a quick Sonic soda and a bacon, sausage breakfast croissant.

Had the flue yesterday. Feeling much better today (still not going to push it). I will be mailing out some tobacco this morning. Fingers are crossed.

15 degrees (F) this morning. Fire went out over night so it is cold in the house. Dogs out and Marbelhead is wandering around outside wondering, no doubt, WTF!!?!?! The yard is well fenced and the gates are all locked.

The yard is well fenced and the gates are all locked. We're thinking about getting a bigger dog, but the yard is going to need about a thousand feet of fencing first. Still want a greyhound.

Had a 3 hour surf this morning. Was great to get my head showered. My body is knackered though. I'm not used to exercise.

I want daily updates on Marble, maybe called Marbles MisAdventures? You’re a Saint! He is adapting to his new surroundings. He gets stuck in spots where he bumps his head and cannot find a way out. So, he paces in a circle. Sometimes he finds an exit. Sometimes I have to lead him out. I am not sure how well he hears. Nose works. He found his food bowl and the water bowl. Likes his brand new $130 bed. I put his blanket from the Kennel on it so he can sniff it out. The cats are freaked out by his presence and confused as he pays no attention to what he cannot see. Izzy, my Aussie female, is patient with him and mostly leaves him be. We have been outside a few times on a leash. I let him wonder and he keeps heading to the front gate. So, I want to make certain he knows this is where he belongs. He is very determined.
