Had a 3 hour surf this morning. Was great to get my head showered. My body is knackered though. I'm not used to exercise. I am assuming and hoping that you were wearing a wet suit? Man I used to look great in a wetsuit! Back in the day about 50 years ago. Yea, wetsuit, gloves, boots and hood. I was toastie warm the whole time. Getting changed after wasn't so pleasant.

Fresh snow on the ground this morning, cold and a little windy. Gonna work on some "honey do's" inside, like replacing a light fixture and hanging a coat rack etc.

Every time I get the flu I am so ikky. But the day after. I start feeling like I have an exorbitant amount of energy and strength(I guess?). Like being a teenager again. I have to make sure not to push it. (Because having kidney disease I don't want to over do it).Does anyone else experience this? Meaning the energy felt after the flu?

Shelves. Shelves! You can never have enough shelves. About my only wood-working “skill” is the making of sturdy bookcases. I desperately needed some more storage so today I bit the bullet and went searching. Too many outbuildings where things get stashed and... lost. But out in the old kennel I found two of my lesser creations. Managed with the help of the Rhino to get one them (the lightest one!) inside and set up. What a relief. And I must say, this tobacco-and-pipe stuff is NOT helping the space allocation needs around here!

Only good thing about the flu (or flu like symptoms) is that it ends up being a great weight loss program (for me). Sadly I end up eating like a horse when I’m well and gain it all back!

I finished wiring the lights and one wall of plugs, the 20 amp circuit for the compressor, the AC circuits and a few other circuits. It's a great feeling to flip on the switch and the whole building lights up like daylight. I used 8 of the 5k lumen shop lights from Harbor Tool on sale. I started wiring the compressor circuit and it was really difficult, too difficult. I stopped and looked at it a little while later and I was using 10/3 instead of 12/2. 😏

Making a list of musts I need from the grocery store. For starters coffee that does not suck. I love my wife but she picks the worst coffee to surprise me with, really I have three pounds of coffee beans that to me is vile. You ever notice how mixing good coffee with bad coffee is a waste of time? Coffee beans should be oily and roasted so they do not look like Spanish peanuts. I am not going to say a word to her about it, lest the coffee surprise could stop altogether.

Might be because I adulterate it with tons of milk.

Took me a few years “training” my wife as she didn’t partake before we got married. Good call about not letting her know. No need to find yourself in the doghouse. Cheers.....👊☕️

25° and snowy/frosty this morning. Except for feeding the horses, not planning on stepping outside today.
Shweetie has the day off from her work at the school, so its gonna be a comfy, lazy day.
I may spend some time with Will getting spanked on the Xbox. I dont do games, and Im really, really bad at it. But he has a new one thats a western, called Red Dead something-or-another he wants me to learn. And some military spec ops one. I dont know. But I will probably do that with him until I get too bored...or frustrated.

I just received an email from the CEO of our town hospital. They are out of beds and out of staff. Not admitting any more patients. Ditto the rest of the hospitals in NM. Patients are sent to hospitals in other states or home to die.
He is begging people to avoid any social contact, wear masks in public and the rest of the precautions.
Situation grim.

Apparently anyone over 70 won't get an ICU bed.

The county that I live in has mandated masks for several months now...rate of infection here seems to be lower than down in Miami where everyone feels like wearing a mask is an infringement on their rights...how about others right to life...damn fools which is why I moved from there over 25 years ago...brother is still there but in hibernation in his condo...only going out for groceries and dialysis...he has lost several friends around the country...all around his age (80's). Meanwhile we are watching to see where the tropical storm is heading and watching a new one starting in the same place as the last one.

When it rains, it pours. The pandemic. The election. Storms. If we were superstitious we’d think the Kahunas were angry with us. And... maybe they are.

We've got 81 active cases in the county of 30k people. No one wears masks here except us and the other old people. I guess the younger crowd just wants us to go away.

We have fewer residents in our county but 366 active cases with many fatalities. Too many people from outside the area. I see licenses plates from other states when in town. They bring the disease with them and do not cooperate with the restrictions. I encouraged our Governor to close the borders to all but commercial truck traffic. Not feasible, I guess.

On a more positive note, "Marbles", the blind dog, is settling in. He can find his way out and just about fins his way into the house. He likes being stroked and petted and hangs around at my side so I can trip over him when making a sudden turn. He has all the characteristics of good dog. He is calm and very quiet. He has not made so much as a growl or bark. Here is another photo from the dog shelter. He look better when not cringing and his tail out from between his legs. I will work on getting some.

So does Marbles only have three legs it looks that way from the picture. Tejas has over a 100,000,000 Covid cases recorded most from El Paso where we have no border right under that New Mexico state. I encouraged our Governor to close the borders to ban all traffic coming in from both Mexico's.

My brother is working logistics on operation warp speed, and has been tasked with setting up the clinics to administer the vaccine in Phoenix. His boss Gus Perna, was interviewed on 60 minutes last Sunday, and my brother worked for him in the sandbox. He says the guy is the real deal, if he says so you can take it to the bank. www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-19-vaccine-distribution-60-minutes-2020-11-08/
