Your paint job looks good Ron! 30 degrees and snowing here. So far a couple of inches accumulation, probably snowed twice that much counting the initial melt. Supposed to snow until around 2:00 am. This is much needed moisture around these parts. It is an odd system with the moisture coming from the east. I’m supposed to make a short 100 mile round trip in the morning, so the AWD truck will get a test.

Last day as an environmental technician...San Diego to El Paso trips are never more.
Thanks to my daughter who is head of HR, a newly fashioned Resume / Cover Letter has several companies offering local employment.
Wish me wisdom!

The closing got pushed to next Friday, so I have time to get more done. I got the shop in the barn framed and I have time to get it paneled and painted this week! I am going to put a window in the shop so I can shoot out through the door at my backstop. 😁 I ended up making the shop 10x 12.

Got my monthly supply run done. Haircut. Victuals. Truck fuel. Etcs. I hate all the errand-running with multiple stops. Plus it was cold, drear, and spritzing rain. Gotta be done but it sure is a PIA. At least it's only once a month.

Had to go to the hardware store for a plumb bob today. Guy said he didn't know people still used them. But he sells them so it's all good.

I ended up making the shop 10x 12. It looks good Ron, that feature might help as you get older and more crotchety!

The power in my neighborhood went off for about 5 minutes tonight.I'm sure glad it came back on or I would have to get out some blankets on this cold night.

Ron, you gonna insulate that little shop? I built a small one, kinda like yours, inside my large shop and insulated it really well. Makes a big difference.

I guess there are few people left on the planet who care about plumb, level and straight. Certainly, none of them build in New Mexico were everything is relative. I visited a hardware store in Toad and asked for a "Snap Shackle". The response was "We don't sell breakfast cereal", yuck, yuck, hee haw! Never returned to that store.

Granted it doesn't get used much, but when you need it nothing else that I know of will do. I'm sure an adjustable laser level of some sort would do. But I don't have or need anything that expensive. I had to put a top plate board on the ceiling rafters right over where the bottom plate would be. I measured 6 ways from Sunday, but without anyone to hold the other end of the tape I didn't trust just my measurements. The plumb bob gave me a visual verification that I had it in the right place.

Very nice work Ron, been thinking about doing the same thing in my big barn, useing it for projects, reloading and air conditioning it as barn is too big for that, Metal Barn is 30 by 50 with a concrete floor, goi it when I moved my Cajun Shack to my property. Again very nice work,

Plugging away at work here. Have a laundry list of things to do this afternoon, so hoping I can duck out of my office early. Have two dinners to prep for, one Friday with a couple of our quaran-team friends, and Saturday with another group. In addition, I have to get the wreathes and candles on the windows. I never got around to that last weekend.
Gonna be a busy food weekend here.

New tires, fresh oil change, and all minor maintenance that Im aware of caught up. I also bought PowerClean last week and started running that pretty heavy in my tanks.
