Well phoey! Christmas with my mom is cancelled. My wife and daughter have colds, and truth be told I have the sniffles. With moms lung disease we cant risk even a cold for her so I went over this morning to the RV site and picked up the presents they had for us, a bag of goodies.
Air hug for mom, real hug for dad and merry Christmas to both.
2020, I am glad you are on your way out!

Big front moving through this area...storms and heavy lightning before the weather drops to 30° tonight... This is Florida!!Yes, saw on the news that they were warning about iguanas falling from the trees in Florida due to the cold. Cold here in Illinois today. About 18⁰F. That's the way it's been here this winter - temperature swinging all over the place.

Against me better judgement, I will be joining a small group of neighbors to celebrate Christmas Even with a turkey dinner. Supposedly only five or six will be there instead of the usual 15+. I missed their Thanksgiving gathering and an earlier event celebrating several birthdays in October. I feel as if I do not attend I will be dropped from the guest list permanently.!! LOL!
Hoping for the best. Their dining room is vast so we should be able to maintain some kind of distance.
It is cold enough I would rather be next to my wood stove.

I got to use my new Carhartt chore coat today. I did have to wash and dry it to soften it up a little. Spent a couple of hours in the back yard with the septic guy. Verdict: New septic system! Merry Christmas! 🎄 😐

10° at reveille, 45° by mid afternoon. The boys got their much-needed run, finally. On some days I just have to force myself, but once out “in it” I enjoy being afield with them. Their exuberance is catching, at least a wee bit. The sunny morning fell away to a gray, clabbery sky with some chilly wind by the afternoon. Nothing daunts them though and they were happy, happy, happy. As well they should be on Christmas eve!

Sorry about the Septic system. That is an undertaking. Worth having it work right.
One change I made in mine was grey water recycling of the laundry water. Keep it out of the septic tank. No dishwasher and one person. So not much kitchen or bathroom waste water. Spetic systems do not like a high volume of water especially with detergent.

We don't know where the washing machine drains, except that it's not in the septic tank. Don't ask, don't tell! There are actually no rules or codes here for all practical purposes. There isn't anyone to ask for a permit.

Merry Christmas to All, had septic tank woes this year, 15 years without a pumpout, had to replace air compressor that aerates , total 1600$, if wife hadn’t of been so vigilant on no grease in drain , it would have been bad.

We had to have ours at the old house pumped out twice in 15 years. Did it last 2 years ago. Replaced the air pump earlier this year at $850. By law I think we should have to put in an aerobic system, but like I said... .

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, all. Hope you and your families are doing well. I'm sitting in my living room, no lights except the tree, pipe lit, coffee poured, watching Christmas movies. It will be very quiet today.

Good morning patch family! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all. I'm sitting in my yard with a cup of coffee, a bowl of voodoo queen, and my son who is chatting away about his latest fan fiction short story he is writing.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Riding herd on a 20 # prime rib on the smoker, cooking indirect at 350, so it shouldn’t be an all day affair.
11 adults and 4 kids later at the house for family presents and food. 70 degrees with a warm sun that feels good on the bones. It is nice to be able to open the windows after the relentless summers we face.
Time to spark a bowl before it gets busy.

Best wishes to everyone, smallest Christmas dinner ever, just wife and son and me. Cold today but pretty, watched children down the road ride their bikes and ATVS, smoked a My Father, watched a football game, didn’t really feel like Christmas, but when you’re old nothing is the same. Not complaining, we are healthy, fed, warm, here with my Buddies, could be a lot worse.Happy Holidays to everyone!
