My wife and I started watching the old Miami Vice series. A lot of good episodes in that series. I especially like the couple of episodes where Willie Nelson played an old retired Texas Ranger.

Watch "Perry Mason" every night. Great show in its day You might like the new Perry Mason (HBO). It's a lot different than the original - but very good. Perry Mason is a completely different type of person. There's going to be a second season. I'm looking forward to it.

A Perry Mason fan here also, while I was off between jobs last month, I enjoyed watching episodes with my wife every morning.
Love the pretty cars and pretty gals too.

Last night we watched the first episode of “Sharps Rifles” with Sean Bean on DVD from the library. We have no tv service of any kind, so sometimes I watch short clips of programs on YouTube. Lately I’ve bounced between “Justified”, “Person of Interest” and “Black List”. "Justified" was a hoot. I loved those characters. Boyd Crowder was a character! Little Dewey Crowe and Constable Bob always made me laugh. I have known too many like both of them over the years. I've watched the entire Justified series three times. One of my favorites.

A Perry Mason fan here also, while I was off between jobs last month, I enjoyed watching episodes with my wife every morning. Love the pretty cars and pretty gals too. The original series had some of my favorite actors- Burr, the guy who played Lt. Tragg, and the DA, a veteran of numerous Film Noir characters on both sides of the law. "Armored Car Robbery" and "The Racket" being examples.

Matthew Rhys has been one of my favorite actors since The Americans (another great series).
Be aware - this new series is essentially a 'prequel' that is made from whole cloth. It has ZERO relationship to the Gardner novels or the Burr series.

One more disk to go to finish out UNE VILLAGE FRANCAISE, a 7-year series. It has been uniformly excellent throughout. Now, in the seventh year of the series they are are doing an “Epilogue” showing the many characters in skillfully done flash-backs and flash forwards. The time-frame runs from 1942, 1945, 1947, 1975, 2003. Whenever possible, and for all the main characters, they have used the same actors., transforming them with “make-up” and prosthetics. Uh-oh, I thought, bad stuff coming up remembering some of Hollywood’s similar disasters. Not so. What they have done is fantastic— far and away the best and most plausible such doings I have ever seen. The pretty 20-something school teacher as an 80+ year old woman is absolutely amazing. Completely and flawlessly believable. I’ll really be sorry when this is over. It has been a treat.

I've just started Turn: Washington's Spies. Don't know why I put it off so long. I love historical drama, and a lot of it was filmed in my area.

Bing watched "A Discovery of Witches" - season 1 - yesterday. Then watched a recording of season 2 episode 1 tonight. Pretty good.
Another book series turned into a TV series. Books were pretty good.
Guess we should start a "Rate the last TV series you watched in 2021".

Looks like they are going to charge for it after episode 1 this year. Don't know if I'll pay for it. I've read the books. I'm not paying a fortune for cable TV for the privilege to rent individual episodes.

Started a new series on Amazon called “Flak.” It’s about a group of women in a PR firm doing whatever it takes to spin any scenario in their client’s favour. Reminds me of the film “Wag the Dog” starring Dustin Hoffman. Spin doctoring at its best.

Fascinating, and I'm surprised I had never heard anything about the story.

Binged 'Wandavision'
It helps if you're a Marvel/Avengers fan, but not absolutely necessary. They'll kinda catch you up on the backstory.
I'm a fan. 8/10
