Roger, that. Once you've had a chance to use and refill it, maybe you can give us a feel for how it compares to others you've used. Just checking back in. Today it required a refill, so it lasts pretty long but I smoke one bowl most days, up to six or seven at a pipe club meeting. As the fuel dropped in level, an increase in the flame height kept me in the game, over four or so smokes. It is nice that it didn't just run out leaving me in the cold. When I refueled, and sparked it up I was quickly reminded that the flame height needed to go down to the full tank setting. I have had a lot of good lighters and this is the best one, not heavy on bling but a solid performer with a lifetime warranty. The only lighter I have or have had that beats it (Old boy, Colibri pipe lighter, Beattie, Nimrod, Flambeau Flamidor, Zippo)...is the Zippo in the wind, but since I tend to not smoke in the wind, this lighter is top gun. Thanks guys. I’ve been hemming and hawing about that lighter for some time. Guess it’s time to finally pull the trigger.👍👍

I'm enjoying my Kiribi Kabuto as well. It does stay in the office though. Brass Zippo for any excursions.

I found my Pipemaster. Now I have to learn again to flip the off switch before I lay it in my lap. I understand why the new ones don't have the flame rock.

Very nice. I like that wing-shaped lever they use. I've had my eye on the one with the hammered finish. I just can't justify another lighter to myself right now.

My Old Boy wrapped in briar. Expensive now but what the heck. I too was looking at this lighter but I can only find one available online (none locally…Ontario 🇨🇦) and the stain of the sandblasted briar is so dark and uniform it comes across as midnight black. Would prefer more natural brown and some variations.

I like butane lighters without a pipe tamper. It leaves more room for fuel. Wearing jeans, the lighter is in my coin pocket and I have a tamper in the regular front pocket.
