A wee dram of Highland Park. After years of consuming Malts from the Highlands and Islands and visiting same, I concluded that is the best there is.

A wee dram of Highland Park. After years of consuming Malts from the Highlands and Islands and visiting same, I concluded that is the best there is. I'm not a big Scotch guy. Used to drink Macallan pretty regularly. Then Balvenie Double Wood for a while. But I'm more of an Irish and bourbon guy. Highland Park is about as peaty as I care to get. The super peaty ones give me the tummy ache.

Having a couple martini's using this vodka. www.totalwine.com/spirits/vodka/vodka/summum-vodka/p/108949750The wife and I were shopping today and I ducked into total wines and spirits. The staff there is very well educated on what they sell, and I overheard a staff member discussing the different Vodka's. This is made from spring water in Cognac France, and triple filtered....very smooth, Double Gold Medal- San Francisco Spirits Competition. $24.000 now for a 1.75 Ml bottle, a great deal. The staff member suggested keeping it in the freezer. Impressed.

How does that compare to other Irish whiskeys? When it came out the local liquor store had a couple of beautiful redheads trying to force it on me. I don't like that kind of marketing. Like getting sprayed with cologne in a department store. I picked up another bottle of Teeling and made sure they saw it.

I bought this bottle nearly a year ago, so I don't remember what I paid for it, but if you can pick it up cheaper than, say, Jameson or Bushmills, it'd be a good buy. I've never had Teeling, so can't compare it.

I was at a cigar store when a smoking hot female rep was there. The old buzzards couldn’t reach for their wallet fast enough, several boxes flew off the shelves, her flirtiness must make her a force to be reckoned with by her male colleagues.

The same way here Hoss...present company excluded.
But if you are a sales manager and selling product is what you are tasked with, not a bad way to roll if you want to progress.

Broke open a bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Primier (champagne)...no special occasion except that we felt like it. Not supposed to drink any alcohol due to the meds I take...but what the hell, you only live once.
