Breakfast was biscuits and gravy with sausage. There is a ham in the oven and green beans and sweet potatoes on the stove. Snacked on a slice of my son's pre-corn syrup recipe pecan pie.

Sounds good Ronv69...we had smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce...dessert will be a good pipe and sit with the pup in my lap...life doesn't get better than that!

In the oven, a Marie Calendar Chicken & Mushroom Pie. The last of the cream of leek soup with spinach, celery greens and parsley. A light meal, to be sure!

brunch time by the time da Mrs makes it downstairs. To be usual Sunday two platefuls of mess involving 4 eggs, mangled ham slices, cubed sharp cheddar on top. Usual k-cup drinks, her decaf, me cocoa. English muffins while finishing the drinks

This morn I'm having coffee and cookies, but Christmas dinner was prime rib, maple & bacon sprots ,baked potatoes, and the best tossed salad I've ever tasted...later ,coffee and cheesecake. Only six out of eight showed up, so there's a nice chunk of beef in the ice-box, plus a counter full of cakes and cookies from family and friends. Boy oh boy!!!!

Years ago, I made Coq au Vin, the real way, a la Juliet Childs. My guests never showed. When I called, his wife told me he was watching a basketball game on TV. I stopped cooking for most people as a result of too many episodes like that. Not worth the trouble.

Locally made Chicken Bavarian Sausage. Now, these will take some getting used to after a lifetime of pork. Unusual to say the least. Made a pan gravy with cream, sherry, hoibs, and paprika.

Made a few Naan from scratch using yeast dough, water, salt and a little demerara sugar. No fat. Nice an pillowy.
Low on bakery bread so this has to suffice.
