Japanese style roasted peanuts. Imported from Mexico. 99 cents for 50 grams. Don’t believe I’ve ever seen Japanese style roasted peanuts before. What’s the difference?

They are soaked in Tamari or Soy Sauce with sugar and then roasted or fired to a hard shell with a more tender interior. Both sweet and salty while being crunchy.

Bean, Spanish rice, avocado burritos and we had to make the tortillas as they did not come precooked. Cholula green sauce everywhere.

That is tragic. Why would a chicken joint close on Sunday, the day most people want chicken/ Maybe the power problem?

My Mrs. (better known as Domestic 6) requested another “everything but the kitchen sink” omelette. Unfortunately I was a little lazy this weekend and the cupboards are bare. “Pauper’s Omelette “ it is until I resupply.

Pot of Tea and a bread roll. Too confused to manage much else. Cats fed.
BTW, the missing little Tom, "Luger" returned last night. He was very hungry and demolished a plate of kibble in no time. Just as playful as can be after a long nap. For a guy with no nuts, he sure must have been busy. I really missed him because he is so affectionate.

Had my usual lunch date with mom. She threw a curve ball and opted for seafood fettuccine today. Personally I thought she’d say Chinese as she really like that restaurant.
