That sounds like fun. I am impressed with the way you keep it regular. She’s the only mom I have John. I suspect you would do the same. you changed your avatar again. I never lived in the same city as an adult. So, I did have that opportunity.

These days I’m eating mostly for fuel. Tonight, grilled black forest ham slices on slider buns. Crisps. Vino da tavola. Kind of a dry spell for me in the kitchen. I need a beautiful 18YO Mexican maid/cook. Good luck, Roberto.

Green onion tops are not chives and a scallion is not a green onion. For the love of troglodytes it is not easy being a foodie in the best of times.

Hebrew National all beef hotdogs with chili, mustard and relish. Baked beans on the side. I have not had those in years and should get some. My folks prepared them baked with the beans, topped with onions and mustard on the side. that is a lot of sodium for me. Good though.

after WAYS, decided to dig up some old Foster Brooks celebrity roasts again (IMO best was roasting Don Rickles). Next, Schwan #662 (2 lg)toaster waffles, one cycle. Add usuals & nuke to plateful of mess. Add k-cup cocoa & all to smoking room desk & continue with the papers.

Slowly making a tri tip to make sirloin tips that are not really sirloin. Vidalia onion, shallots, garlic and fresh tarragon, white pepper and real salt from Utah. Using a Sauteuse instead of Dutch oven that will go thru many cycles of direct heat and cooling on the stovetop. The crock pot is so boring and who wants a boiled meat anyway.

This morning, in addition to the usual toasted tortillas and salsa-smothered eggs, some coin-sized sliced and grilled chorizo sausage and a big helping of nopalitos.

Swung through a grocery store deli while out and about at lunch. Shweetie asked me to bring her some orange chicken. I guess it’s a Chinese dish, but I’ve been to China, and I never saw anything like that. I was suspicious, but I got me some too. I should have listened to my instincts. That stuff was not good.

Orange Peel Spicy Chicken can be good if done right. It is one of those fancy dishes made for Americans. The same recipe is made with bits of beef and is also good if done right and served HOT! It can also be really bad if done haphazardly.

Another chicken sandwich and a cosmic crisp apple. I am not familiar with the Cosmic Apple. Is that a metaphor? No it’s a real apple. Truthfully the most amazing apple I’ve ever eaten and I live 10 minutes from several of the best orchards in my state. cosmiccrisp.com/

Baking more Russet taters and an Acorn Squash. Spinach or cabbage. Not entirely clear as of now.
Will heat up the Strip portion of the Porterhouse from last night. Bone to dog- "Marbles". When he is done. Izzy takes over. She grinds them to dust.
