To go along with my other post tonight, I had some Vitello alla Piccata with my 3 glasses of Justin Cabernet at Johnny's Ristorante Italiano in Reno, NV. Sounds like a great meal! Most of my growing up was in the Midwest in a family that did not dine out very often, meaning my exposure to good Italian food was lacking. I got into the foodservice business with a meat company named Facciola Meats in the Bay area in the 80's and my exposure to fine Italian food really took off. Vitello Alla Piccata is not a dish I have tried but having looked up the recipe, sounds phenomenal, and Johnny's has a long track record. www.johnnysristorante.com/Holey smokes! I need to make a trip to Reno...I have a cousin in Gardnerville, my wife has a cousin in Fallon, and I know of a crusty cat that would be cool to hang with. I live in Fernley, which is in between Fallon and Reno. Gardnerville is a little south of Carson City. Let me know anytime you're coming up here...

We bought a Paula Dean air fryer cook book and the coconut shrimp was the best I ever ate, and I don't like coconut shrimp usually. Pretty good starting recipe book. Wife like it.

Ah, Costco! What treats and deals await.
I wish it was not a 400 mile round trip to visit one.

When I think of cocoanut in hot oil, I would think it would be real easy to have a burnt sugar taste if you don’t have an accurate deep fryer and good timing. I would think that the air fryer would be more forgiving.

Wishing I had French Fries, Pomme Frite, Freedom Fries, for the air fryer pot.
Might have to ride over to the gas station for a bag. They sell them along with oil in cans.

when wifie makes her "grand" appearance around brunch-time, 4 eggs, mangled ham slices, cubed sharp cheddar in "griddle" part of GeoForeman grill. Sides of English Muffins. Usual drinks: her k-cup decaf, me same but cocoa with added 2% milk. Should last till late afternoon
