My first, named Parker, gets the vintage Parker Vacumatic fountain pen that was in my pocket the day she was born. She turns 16 in a few days and she selected a Parker 75 Sterling Silver fountain pen from my stash at Christmas time. We will see if she can keep track of it!

I tried to give my first grandkid a life membership in the NRA but the anti-gun DIL vetoed that. Things are not so good on that front. My son’s 12th b’day present was a .357 revolver. I reckon times changed and moved on without me.

My Picanha of beef from Argentina has been held up owing to UPS not verifying my address. UPS, in their unbelievable stupidity, relies on the Post Office Mail Data Base for address verification. Those addresses which do not receive mail delivery are not in the data base and therefore do not exist in the UPS Brain Cluster. I have fought with UPS for decades about this to no avail. So, unless I can convince Señor Che, the Argentine Beef Master, that I exist in my own real time space, no beef for me!!! The UPS gang in the lunchroom may enjoy it. GRRRRrrrrrrrr.............

Kelly when my first grandson was born, talking to his Mother at the hospital, I said his name should be Ira, his uncle my wife’s brother died in the Vietnam era, your husband is Ira, she says Well I don’t knkw. I said well I know I’ve been helping you all during my Sons Schooling with Exxon, groceries, paying your bills, if there is no Ira that will come to a stop. We now have a Third Generation Ira.

I spent much of the afternoon attempting to familiarize myself with this new semi-smart phone.
I can make and receive phone calls and that is it. All the other features are beyond my comprehension. Internet, email, Google, YouTube, I cannot get anything to work. A User Name and Password are no longer enough. Now, I have to have access codes which I cannot receive. Just too complicated for me. I give up. The world has become too complicated for me.

I'm just amazed that it only took six days for 2021 to say to 2020, "Here, hold my beer." 😝

Been on a liquid diet mostly since Monday. At least the pain isn’t their anymore just my gums feel swollen but atleast i was able to go back to work yesterday. It sucked but I just took it slow. Oh well slowly but surely we’ll get their.

Greeted this morning by the sound of gunfire. Went up on the roof deck and heard the hornet wizzing by in front of me. Trucks at the property line to the north, about 545 yards. Same as a couple of years ago.
Perhaps someone can tell me if I can hear the bullet pass, about how close is it? Most people here use .300 Win Mags, .30-06, 7mm Mag, or .270 Winchester. Seems to me if I can hear it pass, it is too close. I do not know for sure about that.
Mu property is posted and I would have thought they were shooting in a different direction but why am I hearing the Zzzzing?

Eventually, it will fail and have to be pulled. Mine lasted about 20 years.

Another day... at least it's sunny though. Work stuff for the most part, and then going to do my walk which I missed the last two days. Have some chores to do in the basement as well. Purchased a wine rack that I need to stain and then mount down there.
Got myself pre-registered for the Covid vaccine last week. PA has their crap together with their website for sure. Got an email this morning to schedule my first dose on Friday. Couldn't be more excited to see some light at the end of this hellishly long tunnel.

I have a shooting range approx 600 ft east of me, shooting made workers on tractors jump off, I got hit on neck with pellets bushogging Cousins property, to add insult to the wound after I filed a complaint with the Corrupt Sherriff, they (Shooting Range) filed a trespassing charge against me. Got a lawyer who was a friend of judge I would be up against. After hearing my story, Judge raised an eyebrow and dismissed the case. It cost me 1000$ for a bull💩 charge. Walking out in hall of courtroom Owner of Range and foreman I walked in front of them, said I went in tunnels in Asia, I came out they didn’t if you ever do that 💩 again if you see me, it’ll be the last sighting you ever see. Next day dump trucks built a 12 foot levee on my side of the shooting range. Only problem now are my property values are half what they should be.

I would guess 20 - 30 feet, mmaybe a little more in a quiet area like yours. It would be nice if the law could do something for you, but I understand that that's not likely to happen. Good luck.

Bees are bullets and, like Ol’ Cajun said, if you hear them they are close. Whines and ‘zings’ are probably ricochets and could be much further away, Either way sounds you were under fire of some kind. Returning fire is not advised (of course) but very, very tempting. I hope this stops and does not recur.
