Go kill it.
I recently fielded a new job and it seems like a great fit with few hours, good pay great benefits...hoping to cruise to full retirement in this boat.

Spend some time today getting my exercise bike to sync with the manufacturers phone app, then getting the phone app to sync with "Map My Ride" - the app I use when biking. It stayed sync'ed from Feb 2020 until this month, then just quit a couple days ago. Finally got it all working. Then shoveled a couple of inches of snow off the driveway. Then, while I was outside, I did some trouble shooting of 2 security cameras that quit working a couple days ago. It was another synchronization problem. Finally deleted them from the system, then added them back into the system. That got them operating again. Wondering if there was an EMP a couple days ago. LOL Just another day in the life of an IT guy. Doubling down on Ron’s comment above. He beat me to it.

Very nice three inches of snow on the ground with a high in the 30's. So wife is working from home and little are running around in glee. Fun times. 😀

Snowing hard and fast. Glad I am inside drinking hot tea.. Fire blazing in the cold stove. House should warm up eventually.
A happy Tuesday to you all.

Temperature hovering round low to mid 40s (4-6c) for our metric friends. We still have snow advisory warning for my region but the weather man’s been wrong for the last four consecutive days.

5° last night and only 2-3" of the white stuff on the ground. A nothingburger of a "storm."
SONY has announced a full-frame mirrorless camera. 24x36 sensor and 50Mp of resolution. Only $6,500. Body only. Ka-ching.

My wife came in from walking the puppy this morning and told me our generator had a red light on. That means it's had a failure that's bad enough to shut it down and prevent further auto starts. Called the company who installed it a few years ago. We pay them to come around quarterly and maintain it.
Before they got here, I checked it out. There was a big puddle of oil on the floor of the enclosure and no oil on the dipstick. The computer said it shutdown on low oil pressure. Oh crap!
The repairman came by and checked it out. Couldn't find the leak right off - so he added oil and started it up. It sprayed oil right out of the two electrical connections on the oil pressure switch.
Easy fix. Replaced the pressure switch. Filled with oil and ran it through the automatic weekly test. Everything tested fine.
I feel like I dodged a bullet. Could have been a major gasket or a cracked block.

That was fortunate. As you say, could have been a lot worse.

If it's the right job for you, you'll get it. Thank you all for the support. The call went well but was too short to get all my questions answered. Looks like the are trying to find candidates to build a team from the ground up in the Northeast which would be pretty exciting to be a part of. We will speak again next week
