taiguy66, urbino, Ronv69 - Judging by your responses, the picture of the Upshall apparently posted. All I see is an imgur link. When I click on it, a new window opens but doesn't show anything. The link seems to work those of us with imgur accounts. BTW, it is a gorgeous pipe!

10 tins of Presbyterian, a bottle of Obsidian Oil, and a new 2019 White Spot (Dunhill) County 3134 group 3 long oval shank Brandy. Maybe I should call it a Canadian Brandy. A long oval shank on a Brandy is uncommon to see from Dunhill. This makes Dunhill #7 for me. Congrats! Love the grain, especially on the side that's visible in the first pic. Hope that Presbyterian doesn't clash with the Anglican pipe.

Oh my! The ring grain is awesome! The color of the stem matches perfectly! AND birdseye on the smooth top of the chamber. Brass ring too! A work of art.

I sanded it down so that the exterior surface is lighter than the rest of the stummel. Not sure it shows well on the picture. Smokes like a dream.

Final bids closed on CigarBid. I won:
Seattle Pipe Club Hood Canal Seattle Pipe Club Wild Man Peterson 965 and a pouch of Sir Walter Raleigh
My grandfather smoked SWR for as long as I knew him, so I'm hoping the room note brings back memories.

Five old Dunhills just arrived, in various states of disrepair: a 1958 pot, undateable opera, and three from the 1920's, including one with a 'D' with tails. Here's an ebay photo. Two have non-original stems and the pot has a non-repair band that I'll be removing. The real gem is the little apple on the left, in the middle - it has a tailed 'D' in Dunhill, but also dates to 1920 due to other factors. If I'm wrong about the other factors, that still puts it at 1920-22.

Wish I could say the same. One order is stuck in NYC. Another order hasnāt even left the building and I placed it seven days ago! Guess my guy was overwhelmed from his St. Patrickās Day sale.

Another thing that's happening as a result of USPS being so slow: sellers are waiting as long as they want to ship, then blaming it on USPS. Ebay sellers get away with this by marking an item as 'shipped', then not uploading tracking (because there isn't any). They must not realize that until the item is actually accepted by USPS, it doesn't count as shipped, and the seller gets dinged. Then again, who needs repeat customes?

Interesting point. Iāll be sure to give my tobacconist a call just to make sure he hasnāt forgotten about my order.

Interesting point. Iāll be sure to give my tobacconist a call just to make sure he hasnāt forgotten about my order. My post sounded very cynical - sorry about that. Most tobacconists appear to be on top of things - they are pros and want you coming back. The slow ebay sellers are actually helping us normal sellers by making us look good while we just conduct business as usual (ship when we get paid!). I've gotten several thank you messages from ebayers for fast shipping recently, which is something new for me, and I'm doing nothing differently. If you look at the good side of things, there's plenty out there. Today was a great mail day with all the great '20s Dunhills, and I'm expecting to see a Dunhill 120 in a week or so, as well as a rare pre-wwii Peterson 03 House Pipe. Very excitedly anticipating both of those. Also waiting on a really weird carved Lamberthod figural that has glass eyes. But more importantly, the bottle of Cabernet I opened last night is even better today, and my girlfriend's currently cooking halibut.

One 7oz tin Peter Heinrich Dark Strong Flake and two 500g bags of Rattray's Marlin Flake when I got home tonight. So I put them in jars. 500g will fit in quart size wide mouth jar.

Missed out on the Rattray's drop at SP. Really wanted to get my hands on some Marlin Flake and Hal O' the Wynd. Maybe next time.
