Tobacco from P&C. Cult Militia x2 Sugar Barrel pouch Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky x2 Bengal Slices C&D Founding Fathers 2oz A couple of lighters. Can somebody recommend a good lighter? I've had absolute sh*t for luck with them in the past. Seemed like no matter what style it was, what brand, or how much it cost, it quit working in a year or less. I guess that wasn't true of my Zippo, but I didn't love that blast of lighter fluid fumes.

But there are some that are good for a year or two. Zippos are a separate category. If you like them they can last forever.

Added to my watchlist, thanks. I've got a new Peterson, but I'm assuming it's going to fail relatively soon, since that's what every other butane lighter I've ever owned has done, so I'm keeping my eye out for other options. That Corona looks like it's in good shape.

I have a Mr Brog copy that still works but the post that holds thewwheel has ccome uncrimped.

An Old Boy clone is what this one is.
Well, I had an order shipped from Country Squire on the 4th. Left Jackson, MS, that day and arrived at the distribution center in Memphis on the 6th. Left the Memphis distribution center on the 6th and crossed into an alternate universe for 6 days. Finally got a tracking update a little while ago. It has now popped up in Washington, DC.
That would be progress, if not for the fact that I LIVE IN MEMPHIS.
So this one is going to remain "in the mail" for a while, I guess.

From my local tobacconist. The Lotus LBLP1 MSRP $30, it is a fine lighter that performs well, with the great angled flame. At that price point, you won't be heartbroken like my buddy if you ever lose an expensive one like his Old Boy.

I have some like that, with the built-in tools, but it seems to really cut down on the gas capacity. Even the Old Boy and clones. The great thing about the Pipemaster is that holds a lot of gas. About double the Old Boy.

Hey buddy, you are retired...I know that more days are behind us than in front, but reloading a lighter takes less time than reloading 5 rounds of ammo.

I know you don’t care for them but I’ve found the Zippo to be the most reliable. I’ve tried others but nothing beats a Zippo so far for me.

Some nefarious poltroon has despatched me a smooth Stanwell Royal Guard 86, a Lorenzo 8784, and a German churchwarden. A plot no doubt to discredit my vow to buy no more pipes. I will find the rascal and chastise him. Count on it!
PS... Plus 2-pounds of Z92. Cad!

I love my Corona Old Boy. I’m religious about cleaning it and purging it whenever I refill it. I also use top quality butane (Xikar Purofine). For flints, I do not pay extra for the Corona flints. Zippo flints work just fine; a little longer than Corona flints and much cheaper. When I bought mine, I found that Top Hat Tobacco had the best online prices by about $20 to $25. I find that a fill lasts me about two weeks at my rate of 5 or 6 pipes a day.
