Have you had the truck since it was new? 30 years is pretty impressive.

A happy surprise came from urbino and the UPS person. He had offered me some E Stokkebye Evening Flake, as it was out of stock. He was kind enough to include John Aylesbry Cassic Flake, which I think was Luxury Flake in the past. I'll have look that one up, as well as the Green Dragon. I'm not familiar with that, but it smells awesome! I just got home and Bruins are on, so I'll pack one for first intermission. Thanks, Urb! I'll let you know what I think.

Correct on the Aylesbury name, Emily. Hope you enjoy them. I really wasn't sure what I could send that you wouldn't already have. The Aylesbury is kind of hard to get right now, but that doesn't mean you don't have a pound of it cellared from 2014. Didn't want to "gift" you a bunch of stuff you already had and now had to figure out where to put more of, or already knew you didn't like. Surprises are hard!

How long did this shipment take Urb? Ha. That one was pretty normal, but I paid extra to get it UPS instead of USPS. I continue to wait for that Esterval's order I placed on March 20. That one's not on USPS, though. Not yet, anyway. DHL has had it in limbo in Germany this whole time. About a week ago, after I had Esterval's initiate a trace on it, it finally went to an "on its way to the destination country" status. This is the same package that DHL held in Rodgau for a couple weeks, then delivered back to Esterval's for some reason, who then had to turn around and ship it again.

Have you had the truck since it was new? 30 years is pretty impressive. No Pete. Bought it for my youngest son about 5 years ago. Transmission went out last year and he purchased a newer Ford F150 extended cab 4x4. He trailered the sick f150 down here and I've been waiting to find the time and the $$ to get er back running. It's a single cab flare side short bed. Don't know if I'm gonna turn it into a toy or sell it?

Everything fits and is in a flattering color scheme. However, I stepped out for my first bowl of Evening Flake, had a sneezing fit, and promptly clogged up my nose. I smoked it, of cousre, but it wasn't an ideal test. That just means I have to hit it again today! For science, or something. Thanks, again.

A few weeks back isett2860 messaged me to see if I was interested in a swap for a few aged tins of my new found love, Balkan Sasieni. Naturally, I was very interested. On Wednesday afternoon, they arrived, along with tins Spark Plug, Jackknife Plug, and Jubilee,a jar of aged Vintage Syrian, a nice chunk of Nightwatch, and several cigars! Thank you sir! There are some things here I have been looking forward to trying for a while. Might want to go put a reinforced post on your mailbox.

Ordered some soft “bit protectors” from Amazon. Mostly wanted them for the cobs. Arrived today and do not fit the cobs by a long shot. Way too big. Tried them on others. Don’t like ‘em at all. Trying to think of other uses. Spats for a Chihuahua?

It looks like Samuel Gawith has a new distributor, I have never heard of Kretek International. I am pretty sure that Arango cigar was the distributor before.

Kinda funny, it is going through LA
I have no complaints about DHL on international shipments. They always come through and get the packages to me...Venezuela is tough to ship to the USA.
Fedex on the other hand processes from Miami, and it seems they flag everything for customs to check, and if you get an agent that hates tobacco you are srewed.
A retired customs agent that is a member of our pipe club says that Fedex in Miami has always been that way.

Just got in a lot of Savinelli Oscars. Based on the identical teeth mark on all five of them, they were well enjoyed by the same smoker. They should all nicely restore.

The works seem to be pretty gummed up on that one, though.

I've never heard of Hansom Flake. This isn't one of the blends listed as "out of stock" at the places I shop.

I think Hansom Flake is a Pipes and Cigars exclusive. It's been a while since I had some. Oddly, Kretek (Indonesian clove and tobacco cigarettes) are banned in USA.

A box of stained cobs that I had sent to one of our talented members. I had several Danish cobs and the black flecks showing through are really awesome.

I know what I like and I do like this one, the Lakeland essence is far in the background to my taste buds. Jiminks gave it 3.5 stars! www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/12181/samuel-gawith-hansom-flake
