On the pipe. WOW! Of all things in the mail Goat Soap. Wife read and talked to our daughter about Goat Soap, I knew she wanted to try it so I bought her some from Amazon, got a bar, she loves it, so I bought her several smaller bars.

Some pipe cleaners, and a bottle of pipe cleaning fluid. Plus a 12-oz tin of Half & Half, mostly to try some mixing with. (Stopped at a place where I have bought butane refills and asked if they had Half & Half. Reply: "Half of what?")

Arrived today… Digby Colossus (London Made) #65. An Ebay pipe. Figured I couldn’t go far wrong for under $50 delivered. Not as big as I had hoped— guy gave no specs, just images. Surprisingly clean and well-finished. Bore is 1.84x81”, so it’s large but not huge. picture upload

So far I do like it. Very nicely put together. The cleaning job done on it was less than thorough and I got a considerable amount of gunk out of the stem. First bowl was quite good. Was surprised to see that it has a "Peterson System-style" catch basin.

A mobility scooter for the wife. She was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cirrhosis 5 years ago from a non alcohol/drug issue. She is in great need of a transplant. Pipe smoking and occasional cigars are a few of the things I enjoy that relax me from day to day stress my own and hers. Wish it was a nice pipe or a box of Padrons maybe even an oz or two of fine virginia but alas it's a 5.0 mile per hour 15 mile range go go machine for my love.

Send good vibes to your wife and you, Jamie. I have an acquaintance who was very near death 3 years ago before he finally got a liver.

I thought i'd try the C&D Lovecraft inspired blends.
C&D Miskatonic Mixture C&D Innsmouth C&D Visions of Celephais C&D Awakened Elder C&D Dreams of Kadath
I just recently started smoking C&D and have really enjoyed the brand thus far, I'm hoping that a run of blends inspired by one of my favorite writers wont be a let down.
I really enjoyed the book Haunted Bookshop, and found the blend to be a very fitting nod to it, I imagine Mifflin smoked something of similar taste and smell.

I can't vouch for many of these, but I can tell you that Visions of Cephelaïs is reminiscent of vanilla-yoghurt covered apricots or raisins. The Plateau of Leng is a real Lat-bomb. It caused sufficient sanity loss that all the tobaccos I buy anymore are Latakia based. Speaking of which, a pound of PS52 "Proper English" is on its way to me. After this will be another pound of Balkan Sobranie 759 match.

Got my RD pipe today! Crocodile Bob says… “You call that a pipe? THIS is a pipe! The bore is .762 x 2.06” and it weighs 2.9 ounces (82 grams) so it definitely qualifies a BIG pipe. The break-in has begun!

Following my obversations on the P'Lip thread and the various feedback I have decided to give the P'Lip another chance (any reason to buy more pipes, right?) I have already received my Hudson Dark Smooth And am awaiting my Baskerville Dark Smooth hopefully sometime this upcoming week.

Someday, I plan on adding both of those shapes to my collection as well. Let us know how the Baskerville performs.

I lost a nephew six months back from the same thing, but in his situation there was a lot of other issues that came forth quickly. He rarely drank a single beer, and never any drugs. I will pray for your wife that when God calls someone else home, she can benefit from it.
