Awesome choice Ron! Haven’t had the pleasure of trying this blend but it’s on my list! I believe that they are out of business. There is a recipe floating around the forum. Mine is from 2016, and I am almost out. Ok... that makes sense. Now I know why, as I’ve checked out a few different on line stores and nobody has it. As per Ron’s comment above, if you know or have the recipe, would you kindly forward a link? Thanks!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Haunted Bookshop in a cob on this frigid Sunday morning. 11 degrees and sunny here. Definitely a mostly inside day for me.

This morning after work, I was digging in the cellar and came across a jar of Esoterica Brighton. Jar date 4/2017. Recall it was nothing special to me. But figured why not.’ So off I go with a small Stanwell freehand. And a mug of hot coffee. Let’s see if some age on it and me, changes my memory. You’ll definitely have to let the rest of us know. Morning Patch. This is my follow up. Because of the cold. It took 3 trips outside to finish this small Stanwell. And a 5 hour nap between bowl 2 and 3. (I work midnight shift) verdict? Meh. Nothing special. No issue with the relights. That was fine. Burned well. No moisture. But flavor wise. Nothing special to me. so late yesterday afternoon. I put a few more pinches out and tossed in a coin of Escudo. Back into the same pipe. It was an improvement, but again nothing I would do again. I still have the last 3rd of the bowl sitting here. May give it a shot later today. This morning I pulled out a No name made in Denmark with a 9mm filter. Good smoker. This time 2 pinches of the Brighton and a healthy pinch of 2013 HH ODF. Now this was good. Smoked almost the entire bowl while shoveling the driveway. And it is -8F out. Going to go out and finish it after I hit send. Kept a few bowls of the Brighton out. But the rest of the 6oz is going back deep in the cellar.

I don't smoke in the house but have a set up in the garage with a space heater, so I braved the elements on this 2 degree day to have a smoke. Had SG Brown No 4 in my Shalom pipe. What would you call this shape. I'm leaning towards a volcano.

Haunted Bookshop here, too, earlier. Now Lakeland Dark in a Grabow Duke. I thought I would like this more when I got it, but it doesn't do it for me. It'll go to the back of the shelf again to surface another day.

I find the Esoterica tobaccos to be tasteless, at least the couple that I have tried. A little ODF can improve most anything.

Three Friars in a cob. Match Victorian in the drying/mixing bowl. Still working the coffee on this wintry day. Maybe a cigar later this afternoon.

After reading the reviews on Tobacco Review, I think it would be better made from the recipe as those are known quality tobaccos. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/3429/hobbits-weed-recipe

71st Street and Black Raspberry both from Wilke. I'm going to try some of their other blends soon. Probably Crystal Palace and maybe High Hat and/or #191. Yes I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts about the High Hat and 191 too. The 191 intrigues me as it’s two main components are honey and vanilla combined with some Kentucky Burley. As I’m confident you’re mainly an aro smoker (based on your past posts), I’d appreciate your expert opinion as this blend is on my Wish List.As for the High Hat, I’ve heard everything from “being the best American produced English/Balkan blend” to being a raisiny, plumy, sweet everyday smoke. After that, what’s not to love? I could send you samples of both, man. Straight out of the jar. Just say the word.

Ended up having to run a couple errands. Loaded up my Rossi Vittoria slightly bent Billiard with Match Victorian. Reloaded with Half & Half from a pouch that's been rattling around for a while. Not a big fan of the codger blends, but this one is probably my favorite. Still sipping now-cold coffee, gonna switch to something more malty/hoppy soon.

MacBaren Vanilla Roll Cake in an Ashton Brindle 517. Somehow I missed this one, yesterday. That's a handsome smoker. Ashton does a really nice sandblast, to me. Them, Dunhill's shell briar, Comoy's pebble grain, and Castello's old antiquari come to mind as favorites.

Back to smoking Match Victorian in a Missouri Pride cob. Sullivan's Maltings Irish Ale in a glass, Red Wings-Panthers on the tube. Will switch over to the Super Bowl coverage closer to gametime.

Some PS Natural Dutch Cavendish in a Rossi Vittoria 8677. Big bowl on this guy. The tobacco . . . eh, it's okay. Not much "there" there, to be honest.

Tewksbury Hobbits Weed in a Wally Frank Straight Grain bulldog second. Iced tea on the side. Awesome choice Ron! Haven’t had the pleasure of trying this blend but it’s on my list! Tragically Tewksbury Hobbits Weed was last produced around December 2017. But you can get Tewksbury Hobbits Weed Match from 4Noggins. I love it - so does my wife. It's probably her favorite for me to smoke.

Arago Balkan Supreme while trying to burn toolies off the pond What did you think? I had a bowl yesterday (day before?). I thought it was fine, but not likely to displace anything that's become a favorite thus far.
