That sounds like a humdinger. Price can pitch when he's on his meds or something. Sox broke their streak. Oh,well, they kept going until the ninth. Verdugo got a tying three RBI double, but it wasn't enough.Don't let the kid get hot! (Does he still say that?) From what I've read, Price seems to be well liked by teammates, staff, etc., so far. Probably didn't hurt that he gave every Dodgers minor leaguer $1000 last season.

I don't know if he says that. He enjoys playing, I think.
Maybe Price has mellowed out.
It's snowing at Fenway, so a double header Sunday. Watching Bruins now instead. I'll catch the west games around 10ish.

Don't know if you're watching, Emily, but if you are, you're bad luck. This is the sloppiest game the Dodgers have played so far this season, in all respects.

Dodgers win, at last. Took 12 innings. And I thought that game against the Rockies was crazy. This one had a little bit of everything (and a lot of sloppiness).

I fell asleep before they got to extras. "Sloppy" is a good descriptor. I've had stretches when I jinx my own team, but never someone else's--yet, ha ha.

Heh. Aside from the first few Padres pitchers, nobody was on their game in that one. None of the other pitchers on either team had good command, except for your old friend David Price, who pitched the 11th and 12th and got the win.
Funnest thing from the game: Price got an RBI on a sac fly to left fielder Joe Musgrove, a starting pitcher and recent thrower of the Padres' first ever no-hitter. The man pitching to Price was Jake Cronenworth, second baseman. Baseball is a trip.

They mentioned that hit during the game today! Aways a something you've never seen before. Kiké took his batting pills today in a come from behind win
I think both Leagues should have the same rule for DH, both Leagues having one, That's another thing that's been kicking around again this year.

Nice, Keek. Come from behind wins are fun, but stressful.
I'm agnostic on the DH. No strong feelings either way.
Dodgers win 2-0 over the Padres. This game wasn't as wacky as last night's, to be sure, but it wasn't exactly normal, either. Both starters -- Kershaw and Darvish -- absolutely dealing. Dodgers finally push a run across with a bases-loaded walk to none other than Clayton Kershaw, who battled in the AB and earned that son of a gun. That's the only run for another couple innings, until Turner hits a solo shot off a Padres reliever.
Mookie makes a diving, game-saving catch with runners at 2B and 3B in the bottom of the 9th to end it.

I grew up on AL, so I slightly prefer the DH, but feel strongly that both should be same. I'm not sure about the three batters or inning end for pitchers now. Alex Cora likes to pull some funky moves, but it didn't cramp his style too much. The runner on second thing for extras might be exciting. I don't mind long games--the ALDS in 2004 or 07, I think, went extras a few times long into the wee hours. Showing up at work at 6am was a drag, but it was BOS v NYY! People didn't understand.

The Dodgers and Padres got into a couple of minor rhubarbs this weekend. The Pahds and their fans are taking their games against the Dodgers very seriously.

We're happy campers today--double header. Red Sox lost the first one and next is coming up soon. ChiSox have made some chages, but Kuechel got the W.

Dodgers lose the finale, 5-2. Bullpen gave up a lead, late, but it was a small lead (as tends to be the case when you only score 2 runs), and it wasn't really the A-squad from the pen. Padres pen pitched very well.
I'll take winning 2 out of 3 at their place.

I just looked at the standings. Those Dodgers are off the charts. Red Sox lost both today. It was hard to watch, but still leading AL East.

They've been playing well. Too many errors on defense, but hitting and pitching well. They also haven't played much of anybody, though, other than now the Padres. They have the talent to be awfully good, but we'll see if it pans out. As I often say, baseball has a lot of random in it.
Sounds like the Sox might be off to a better start than people expected.

I, Diehard Bosox Fool, didn't expect much from this crop, but they've got something going on. They're not polished by any means, but just goofy enough to make it work. The bats were smokin' today in a blowout to split the White Sox series. If they can get the bullpen steady and clean up the errors, they just might go places. I'm pleasantly, cautiously surprised!

Dodgers drop one to the Mariners on an unearned run. The infielders really need to clean up the defense.

No politics Friends, I love baseball, Dad and I would watch on our old black and white, baseball and boxing. Now no more, MLB has gone into💩that they have no business going into. I mourn this! As a lifelong Cubs fan, I am so glad that I was able to enjoy the 2016 season and World Series before everything in life became political and all of professional sports decided they had an agenda they were going to cram down the throats of their fans. No more. I am done with all of it. I don't watch and won't watch as long as they continue to interject politics into their product. Sports should be an escape from all that. I just want to watch a damn game. Screw them!

Sox beat Jays handily. I'm keeping an eye on some former Sox players today. I was cooking and I missed Mitch Moreland's homers, of course. I just turned on Rangers v Angels to check up on Brock Holt and I'll be heading in to watch soon.

Where did Benintendi end up?
Dodgers played an afternoon game on get-away day in Seattle, winning 1-0. I watched the archived broadcast this evening. Julio Urias was dealing. So was Kenley Jansen to close it out in the 9th. He threw a couple 97, which he hasn't done in 2-3 years, and his cutters had wicked movement.

Benintendi went to KC and Sox got Franchy Cordero and others in a complicated three way trade. Bradley, Jr was a free agent and went to Milwaukee. And Betts... And thus was the breakup of the Killer Bs. I'm not sure about Cordero yet, but Kiké and Verdugo are doing well in the OF.
I didn't think to watch LAD replay, but saw a final score early in the day.

Yeah, that's the other great thing about MLB.tv. The archived games.
I knew JBJ was in Milwaukee, but don't think I ever heard where Benintendi landed.
