I don't think I have any of their San Francisco series blends, come to think of it. Union Square and Embarcadero are great blends.

Finishing some GH Kendal Mixed in a MM Washington. Battle of lemonade made from a mix. Hot weather has arrived. I'm remaining vigilant for the predicted plagued of cicadas, but haven't seen any of the creepy critters, yet.

May 21st. warm southern breezes and some cloud cover helped keep the temps down but it was still warm. opened my test tin of castello sea rock (c&d) apple liqour with vanilla cavendish seems way out of my profile. Yet the blend is good. not too sweet but has that cavendish everyone loves to smell. good rich smoke that kept the aromatic flavor well . ended with some sunday pinic in the x105 spigot. the castello was in my old gbd and the petite pete. have a great weekend!

Good morning It's going to be a busy day of finishing off the last Bradford pear tree. Balkan Sobranie 759 in the Icarus. Coffee, of course, in my typical hamartological manner: hot as Hell, black as sin, strong as death, and bitter as iniquity. Maybe with a touch of cream to smooth things out.

Got up this morning and took my coffee and Haunted Bookshop out in the backyard and just soaked it all in. Later, while doing some shopping, Grand Croupier Double Down. Before and after dinner, Fillmore and Marlin Flake. Rotated through 3 different cobs. After dinner, a cigar and beer on the back porch. Now, I'm going to fill the Bing's Favorite Pony with remainder of Marlin Flake and Fillmore.

Soon to be GH&Co Dark Birdseye in a little Dr Grabow bully with still water alongside. Funny you mention that blend, doing some surfing about Amsterdam Shag, and on a RYO websitre a guy mentioned it as a substitute. Our local tobacconist where the Arizona Pipe Club meets at has just recently started getting G& H blends in, Dark Birdseye has been a big hit.

I like them both and wouldn't have that they were interchangeable, though they're in the same ballpark. One's twice the price of the other and of course I prefer the more spendy one. Figures.

Not a bad way to roll Emily, it is generally better to smoke the one that trips your trigger. Even at twice the price it is still a good value cost wise in what we spend on stuff.

Coffee, of course, in my typical hamartological manner: hot as Hell, black as sin, strong as death, and bitter as iniquity. Sounds like a tough cup of coffee...I like mine to not beat me up. It's the French Market coffee with chicory. It's not nearly as bitter as Café du Monde. My in-laws got me started on this stuff 27 years ago, and I've never looked back. If I want a kinder, gentler cup of joe, I generally go for Green Mountain "lake & lodge" or "dark magic."
