June 16th. in the cool of the early morning I got in a nice bowl of c&d reverie. A really nice blend to my tastes. as the heat built I had a cigar in waiting. a nice ashton cabinet toro. both natural and habano wrappers are nice when aged properly. the ashton is such a stick and is well worth having with a drink or two, or at a party. My use case is for a nice smoke in the heat where briars dare to tread. Being rather odd as a flavor chasing codger my taste in cigars is quite light where my taste in pipes is quite strong with a focus on untopped blends. Unable to get in a good pipe from about 9 am until about 8pm is not fun. in a pinch the cob still rules in the heat but beyond a certain point I find no bowl survives the conditions. the lower tobacco just gets roasted. funny how much ambient temperatures affect a bowl

I haven't had my actual account get hacked, but I've had fraudulent charges on cards multiple times and had to go through the process of contesting charges and getting new cards. It's not horrible, but it's inconvenient as heck. I've started using privacy.com to handle my online purchases. We'll see how it goes. Been using it about 3 months now, and so far no problems I know of.

EMP in a MM on the way to work, Amphora VA in a Sav Roma on the way home, and a little Eight State Burley in a Sav Punto D’Oro just now. That Amphora VA is pretty good stuff, eh? Yes, I have both an Amphora Virginia and Burley going. I find myself grabbing them more often lately when I don’t have time to deal with prepping flakes or feel like dragging a jar.

I’d say that so far I like it but don’t love it. I’ve had about five bowls and three have been really good and a couple were a little harsh with a little too much floral for my taste. Not sure what my final view will be, but I like it enough that I’ll keep trying it when I want a “busier” burley blend. I admit I smoke more VAs and VaPers so I’m less exposed burleys, and less familiar with, burleys.
