A lovely summer day ,here in the Old Dominion, and I smoked what I think must be the best smoke I've ever had from a meer lined pipe. I was out on our deck, getting a pedicure ,and watching the birds on the feeders, puffing on a spill tray bowl of bits of 312 & 702 burley ,with a whisper from the cherry jar. The pipe did it's job flawlessly , the smoke seemed to thin only twice and each time a few light pulls reawakened the burn. The biggest part of an hour, while having my feet renewed, I enjoyed cool, nutty smoke and mild temps, surrounded by my wife ,my dogs ,and some hungry red birds.

Some Hobbits Weed. Still watching “Bosch.” How is the program? I've read most of the books from which the character comes. Maybe we'll check it out here on a rainy weekend. I'm having Bayou Morning in a Legend along with a can of A&W.

On a warm breezy evening after a hot day, 3 pipes. Sansepolcro in a Radice Rind Billiard; Pembroke in a Mahogany Calabash; The Beast in an Arley Curtz straight Apple w/bamboo shank. A celebration of sorts. A few weeks ago, my dogs (not their fault) spilled half a cup of coffee on my desk, part of which ended up on my laptop keyboard. I dumped it out and wiped it down; it remained running. Good news. It put itself to sleep at some point and the next morning would not rouse itself. Bad news. It remains dead. Today I had the time to chat with a HP service tech who concluded, after a number of tests, that the machine was dead. He advised HP would send a box for me to ship the laptop in for repairs. I enquired as to the cost. No worries, my accident insurance will cover all costs. Unbeknownst to me, and my wife, who purchased the computer for me a year and a half ago, I have an extended warranty with accident protection. A happy day! Moral of the story? Buy the insurance, or don’t leave your dogs alone with a cup of coffee next to your open laptop; perhaps both.

If it goes out of warranty, and that happens again and you think replacing the keyboard will fix it…. I switched my keyboard on my Toshiba Satellite thanks to a YouTube video, and the keyboard was about $20 for my model.

I think I’ve replaced keyboards in every laptop I’ve owned, sometimes more than once. No spills, just heavy handed typing from learning on a manual typewriter. Old habits are hard to break!

(The only reason I know his is because he was on "Deadwood.")

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen, i do not write lately often on the forum and this is not accidental. The weather here is unstable and spoils my mood, i had to fix some things in my car but the main thing is that my blood pressure is getting high. I need to make some changes in my life (coffee-smoking reduction) and revisit the cardiologist possibly for a Holter. In the meantime i found the opportunity to go and see my old friend on pipe smoking days on Resistance era, the Guardian. Although there is no longer any danger of take a ticket from the Police, he is still faithful to his duty, he stays by my side and constantly monitors the area for possible threats. See you soon.

I'm having Bayou Morning in a Legend along with a can of A&W. The series is amazing! Im not really a tv person but started season 1 on Monday and I’m on season 6. I’m hoping there will be a season 7,8,9….. Warning: highly addictive if you love police dramas.

I never bought a notebook for the company I worked for or myself without buying the longest warranty available, 3 or 4 years. The MS Surface was the only one that it didn't pay off.
