Some more Fillmore, this time in a cob. Watching it rain. Rain! Now there’s something I’m wishing for! Too darn hot for my liking living on the Wet Coast. We certainly could use a little rain tight now to fight the many uncontrollable forest fires.

Two bowls from the cherry jar today, both in the Caminetto 120, with a pipe cleaner in between...coffee with one ,water with the other. Whatever happened to Bald and Teacher Herb? Being a favourite and all, I don’t recall what last time you had this blend?

Last I checked, it was pretty spendy around here. That’s because of the extra cost you’re spending on shipping Urb! USPS has your number!

I know, right! We’re never satisfied Ron. Besides we need the rain to combat the many forest fires burning uncontrollably.

July 14th. it has been rather boring the past few days. Morning, savi 515 with purple cow. (my #3burley finally ran out and purple is a burley..so why open another..) Star of the East is earning a place on my reorder list. flavor varies a bit among the few pipes I reserve for these type blends. All bowls have been very good. Same for the triple play plug, I have a few pipes that work well with plug blends and this blend has been good as well. Finally the best for last..Five O' clock shadow. C&D seems to have a wide vision for blends. I had a full bowl in the castello GGG lovat (searock) and it was suberb. Admittedly, it is nice to have open tins of only great tobacco. Very luxurious after wading through those failed test blends recently. I finished all but a few (and a tin of awakened elder still sits unopened in the vault) so each had a fair judging and I had some good blends to switch off to during the tasting but having only blends I find delightful in flavor is fun. anyhoo, have a great week

That turquoise is gorgeous! I visited NM quite a lot in my childhood, fond memories of Old Town Sante Fe. Don Warren is in Albuquerque and online if you want to order a pipe, you won't be sorry. I am bummed about the cancellation of the West Coast Pipe Show, and not seeing Don Warren is a big reason. A superb pipe maker, and a true gentleman that is a really genuine guy. I have two Don Warren's both won at the pipe show raffle. At some point, I should buy one.

His pipes are very reasonably priced for a custom pipemaker. They start at 135 bucks and every one is a great smoker.
