July 1st. Rain is holding strong in the area for the rest of the day but a dry cool weekend is forecast. I should be rounding a corner with a weedeater in hand but rain has me under the canopy with nothing to do...hmmm wonder what that means ... So it was some regents flake in the savinelli 515 with a small coffee and then some haunted bookshop with extra Va. flake added in my old luxor basket canadian(chacom 2nds) later I have some black frigate planned but no pipe selected yet. Have a great day and dont forget to post to my thread in the PAD forum if you have a fun Castello pipe story!

2017 SG Skiff Mixture in a Stained MM MT on the porch. Thinking about how much more enjoyable time I will have off work with the bridge that got burnt in the fire up north. Then yesterday two more fires along the run that I am on at O'Brian and Lakehead the bridge that burnt was at North Hotlum.

While I am still distancing myself from aromatics, I took it upon myself to smoke one today. Todays smoke is Cellar Reserve by The East India Trading Company. A wonderful rum flavor that packs with ease, the tobacco however is fairly wet and requires some slight drying prior to the pack. Id be want to refer to it as a dessert tobacco and today I have somewhat of a sweet tooth.

"The blood rolls down the drain Oh, what a lonely thing In a blood red drain July, July, July Never seemed so strange July, July, July"
It's just me, then? WCC Stubb's Pipe in a MM Legend. We finally have plenty of rain. Red Sox at 1pm, if it's clear at Fenway.

Started the morning with, never mind, you all know. Moved on to Three Friars and Bayou Morning. All in the same cob. Just got chased indoors by a rain shower. Now smoking Six Pence in rusticated Savinelli Roma Prince.

Home from work with a bowl of Granger going in the Eaton cob while relaxing on the back deck. I'm on a Granger binge today.

After the rain, got back outside with some Rimboche AB, Old Gowrie and, now, Night Train. Same cob all day, with the exception of one bowl in the Sav Prince.

What I'm calling 'Scholar's Blend' (25% Scotty's University Professor, 25% Yale Mixture, 50% Old Professor) in a Willard lovat. This pipe is an eBay find that's a close second to the Icarus. Hendrick's martinis on the side. I'm enjoying the evening breeze on the front porch rocking chair, and totally embracing the whole "grandfather" gig š

Arenāt you glad you put that darn thing together? Actually, yes. It looks nice on the porch. The chairs are comfortable. Added another, small table between the chairs (for tobacco/ashtray/whiskey glass). Its a nice place to sit and watch the world go by. Pain in the a$$ to put together. Part of one chair had mounting holes off by an inch. Had to drill my own. But then, it was an opportunity to show off my problem-solving skills to my wife. She's happy, so I'm happy.
