Good morning, afternoon and evening everyone! I’m extremely late posting but here goes: got up o’dark stupid to take my mom to the hospital for a five hour stress test. Grabbed some breakfast after dropping mom off and went to the office. Luckily I packed my usual supplies: Bald Headed Headed Teacher and Night Train to keep me company the night before. Rushed home, bought flowers and picked up my wife’s favourite food as it’s our wedding anniversary tomorrow. Cheers…..😁👍🥂

Ps luxury bullseye flake in a meer. It’s good fresh. Will toss the rest of these 2oz sample in a jar and forget about it for a couple years as I’ve heard it’s sublime aged.

Do you usually fold and stuff other flakes? Those Bullseyes aren't easy to master. no this is the first time I've tried it. Now, I'll have to revisit Escudo and try that the same way. I'm really enjoying the LBF much more stuffed than I did rubbed out. You're a natural!

Motzek Strang, heavenly smoke. You're just saying that because it's Jim's favorite. 😘🤠 Not even, Homes! I figured this blend out before the Yoda of tobacco chimed in… he just gave a strong confirmation of what I already knew. Visiting Jim’s reviews, glad I have old stock. I wasn’t aware that a 2021 production happened. www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/6815/motzek-curly-strang

Good Saturday morning. Sutliff Sugar Barrel Match in a Legend. I thought I would give it a try, but it doesn't make me wish I had bought more than an ounce. It's fine and might please the PA and CH crowd. I like them all but I reach for some incarnation of Edgeworth when I am hankering for suchlike. I have no idea if this is a good reproduction of Sugar Barrel, though.

full walks earlier, no-band 6x42 for company. Just beat the rain. After the Ed is fed, Abingdon in Cavvichi C bent dublin freehand & continue with the papers. No yard work planned as now steady rain.
66, glad for the rain as plant/flowers thriving. Headed for 72 eventually

July 17th. This morning is cool and humid with some rain forecast. Five O' clock shadow in my new to me Charatan executive. I posted on pipes and PAD lastnite looking for more information as the dates and ages of charatans are a bit hard to figure out. So far it seems the late 60s early 70s is about when it was made. I guess charatan gave unconditional warranties on their pipes so a strict date code was not needed to identify in or out of warranty pipes. It seems to be from the hermann Lane period, freehand straight grain tapered bowl. There is a possibility it is quite valuable as it was used, unrestored for 275 asking price My good friend Steve Pal at saint louis cigars has had that pipe on a shelf for a number of years and I have walked by unheeding of what it was...lol. I thought it was an epoxy pipe instead of a very nice english briar! anyhoo, the pipe gives a great smoke and will be in rotation for lighter blends as the taper really adds intensity during a bowl. have a great weekend!

Get off the fence, Ted...this tobacco is balanced with an artist hand. Each part of the blend adds equally to the smoking experience; the smoke is creamy and yet I think of the flavor as crisp, and straightforward. I think you'll find it a blend with latakia, rather than a latakia blend. It goes nicely with coffee in the morning ,and I found it tasty with some Crown Royal from my "retirement bottle".
