Just a tiny bit of Best Brown #2 in the drying bowl. So, I loaded it, dust and all, into a small bowl with my Dr. Grabow Viking. Waste not, want not. Especially with stuff that shows up only twice a year.

Cascadia downwind plug in a meer. I really don’t need another blend to cellar but I think I’m going to pick up some more of this plug when I get a chance. It’s a Virginia burley plug. And it’s a honest to goodness plug not a crumble cake called a plug.

There are a few of those Cascadia blends that look like they are worth a shot.
Anyhow, morning all. Yesterday was the very last court hearing, and life should start to smooth over from here. So, Balkan Sasieni this morning, in a 124 of course, with coffee on the side.

Good a.m. Sugar Barrel Match in a MM Ozark hardwood. Cranberry pomegranate juice with.
I saw the roll out of Cascadia stuff, too. I don't need tobacco, but since it's a real plug...? I did buy a tin of the Cobblestone Brick Kentucky recently, but I think that's a Kake. We'll see.

Home from another great day at the office. To quote just ol Ed, now that the Ted is fed, on the patio enjoying a bowl of Opening Night while listening to tunes and cleaning my morning pipes. Opening Night is a great smoke. Good to know the Ted has been fed. Yes, awesome stuff! Totally forgot I had it squirrelled away until you mentioned it in a previous post. Thanks for the reminder!

Sutliff Vanilla Custard, in the drive to work, in my little beat up Baraccini. I’ve been cellaring this for a little over a year. When I had purchased it the vanilla was a little much, I was hoping it would calm itself and it has. The vanilla sent on the tobacco is still very strong, but it now it’s a more mellow smoke and burns very well. Good breakfast smoke.

Yes, the Orion's Arrow has a C&D fingerprint. Hey, I'm a Grateful Deadhead and I can enjoy 200 different performances of the same darn song.
Newminster 701 Virginia in a MM Country Gentleman. There's something uncomfortably Freudian there.

Dinner was excellent. Using the sous vide method assures a perfectly cooked steak, no matter how you like it. I only managed the first two pipes before I decided to call it a night at around 1:00 AM. Smoking while too tired creates visions of setting my shirt on fire when the pipe slips out of my mouth as I doze off; not cool at all. I suppose that means my first pipe today will be that Balkan Sasieni!
