Good morning, Patch!
Christening my newly received Dunhill Chestnut 4111 Lovat (2015) with a mix of MB Plumcake and Old Joe Krantz, which turned out to be great for breaking in new pipes. Of course, coffee on the side!

Morning everyone. All this talk about a Storm Front had me craving a bowl, so I dug an old jar out this morning and filled up the Cobbit (still has the short bent stem on it).

Good morning Patch. Getting an early start to my day again. SG St.James and Balkan Flake should do the trick! ⛳️🏌️♂️

How was that Storm Front, old buddy? I've never tried it in a cob... As good as I remembered it. Been a few years since I smoked any of it. I stashed a few jars away a couple years ago and forgot about them. I always liked it in cobs, simple smoke and a simple pipe, no frills, just good smoking.

English Rum, in a sandblasted Savinelli 804 KS...a very different smoke in the briar ,than last night's meer. I'm picking up much more sweet rum flavor ,with the latakia stepping back a notch or two...still a good smoke, but different. I'm relearning this blend; it's like running into an old friend from years past, and just as I would with an old friend, I'm having a strong coffee...life is good!

Sandblasted bent Pete with I think G&H Best Brown #2 With 4 or 5 years of age, this is one delicious tobacco! Just a one oz sample I got so it won't make 5 years. Thank you for the recommendation.

McC's 5100 in an Edwards Coachman. On of the earliest estates I snagged in my journey, I love my Edwards pipes, and my Coachman mirrors yours. A solid performer.

July 29th. I have been exploring C&Ds black serviceman series as I respect the history of those groups of fighting men and was very curious to experience the blends. Montford point marine was excellent, told a story in smoke. musty footlockers, leather boots, cigars, and the blend always ended in "the Orient'. how they got a lovely oreintal flavor to pop at the end of a bowl is amazing. Buffalo Soldier is not as good. in fact I ended the tin early as the burly was rough and the flavor overwhelmed with it. Not sure what that target was for that blend. So in the meantime, I opened my tin of C&D Barrister. reminds me a bit of the taste of the original prince Albert on first light, has what I think is some cigar leaf? very nice so far in the gbd 256 and the vauen volcano (1633 classic or was that 1366, have to look now). anyhoo, I have the Uss Mason and tuskeegee airmen left to open once I bore of Barrister... . have a great night.
