Haven’t tried that one yet. What’s it like Emily? It's good. I have had some for a while, but just recently tried it again and reach for it often now. Virginia forward with moderate perique character and Turkish that plays well with the Virginia. Recommended. Works for me. I’ll be sure to put it on my list thanks.

July 6th. Warm weather is returning for a few days so early morning or evening is the best time to have a bowl. First was c&d burley #3 which is not too bad. I think it, as well as some other blends might be best in the fall/winter. the lack of my favorite flavors with a very heady power level seems a match for those conditions. currently i am getting in a last full bowl of black frigate in the savinelli estelli non pariel. Black frigate could be one of a few blends that I will always have on hand. the latakia just pushes the blend into such a flavorful smoke. anyhoo, have a great day!

smoking a black and tan mix of burley and cavendish tobaccos in a black blast billiard from Dr Grabow. The pipe is a slow smoke contest pipe ,from a C.O.R.P.S. show back in the Nineties. I've fitted it with a softy bit to slow the insta-green effect of the cheap rubber mouthpiece. It's not a bad smoker ,but I hate when a bit turns a yellowish green before I even finish a smoke.

Black Frigate in my new pipe. Still breaking it in. Wife was complaining about bees while watering the dogs so I provided a smoke screen for her.

usual routines here. Full walks earlier, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, Boswell Northwoods (gifted) in SamMartin freehand & continue with the papers. Nothing earthshaking on the docket for the day.

July 7th. Ah what a wonderful day!. my Castello 3k searock billiard came. (actually yesterday) Shorter than my GGG lovat but funny all 3 of my castellos are the same outside diameter. This is a Scotti era pipe and is a great smoker. So star of the east was the first bowl. I made a frankenmix with the dregs of 4 tins and it is not too bad. waste not want not! have a great day

Woke up with the beginning of head cold or hayfever or something. Oh well, the show must go on. Smoking Haunted Bookshop and finishing off the last of the coffee, room temp, down in the cave. Trying to keep cool and relax.
