Smoking some Goldbrick Lion and Lamb in the Savinelli Estella 611 I just bought from him. Very nice blend, and a great smoking pipe! I didn't even know there was a Gold Block blend called "Lion and Lamb."

I didn't even know there was a Gold Block blend called "Lion and Lamb." It's a Blockhead mixture...when you use raw blending components ,it's a blend...when you toss preblended tobaccos in a jar ,it's just a mix. I wish I could blend something like that, but some things can only be done by time.

C&D Epiphany in the new Yello-Bole Checker Cherrywood or Poker or something... Checkerrywooker? Sounds like something Lewis Carroll would come up with.

I'll keep an eye peeled. Watch City Slices in this Kaywoodie Natural Burl Dublin, which is absolutely not natural.

Good morning! I am starting this day with Davidoff Danish Mixture in my Cumberland 5406 Bent pot (2015). Black tea with milk & sugar on the side. I am really starting to like that Danish Mixture, it's really good!

I was back in the office today. Supposedly gonna stay that way this time, so my piping opportunities will be considerably reduced. I can't like this.

I'll keep an eye peeled. Watch City Slices in this Kaywoodie Natural Burl Dublin, which is absolutely not natural. So natural in fact, that when they dug up that burl it had already been rusticated and had that stem on it. Drilled and all.

Last night's final bowl was more of the cherry/burley, spill-tray mix, in an Old Dominion stack billiard. I'm starting the morning with the same tobacco in an old , rusticated lumberman, marked Aldo Velani. This cherry kick I'm on is a habit from my early years as a piper... After Halloween, each year, my wife required me to smoke some cherry tobacco now and then through the Christmas season. She has a memory of the cherry aroma, from her childhood Christmas shopping trips with family, and that aroma seemed a real plus to her "Christmas sprit"

Irish Whisky in the Peterson Walnut Spigot 150. The little bastard has excess stain, I hope it will stop over the next few pipefuls. It happened with one of my Standard System and I ended up returning it. Nothing I dislike more than breaking in a new pipe for nothing.

C&D Bijou in the Savinelli Estella. I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, as I haven't really smoked any Virginia forward blends this time around. Nice broken flake, tin note more bread than grass, with honey and spice in the back. Sweetness and spiciness come and go, the nice bready notes are more consistent. I'm enjoying this first bowl and will probably have a couple of more before jarring this for warmer weather. I'm glad I got another tin to leave sealed, and I'll be getting more to cellar long term.
