Received this Savinelli Autograph on Saturday. Needed a little cleaning and polishing. The pipe is huge! 2nd photo shows comparison to a group 4 Dunhill.

My garden tractor that I ordered last October finally came in. Delivered in a 53 foot trailer in my driveway in a crate the size of a small camper. An hour with the reciprocating saw, another 2 hours to assemble and check it out and it was ready to test. Like a Cadillac after my old one.
Great looking ride! I hear good things about Husqvarna. I had a TroyBilt for many years. On one hand it was a great, reliable little tractor/mower. Never a problem with it - except for a couple of belts. It would shred the main mower deck belt in 1 season and need the main transmission drive belt replaced every 3 years. Never could figure out why. Funny thing was: the other deck belt and the other transmission belt never failed in the 8 or 9 years I owned it!

I'll find out what they are on this one. My old one is a Craftsman that is 17 years old and has handled everything that I have forced it to do. It has seen better days now. It always had a problem retaining blades. It dropped one in the yard yesterday as a matter of fact.

Monday night, so I'm late, but I got my order from The Briar Shop in Houston. 4 tins of McChrystals snuff. I've found a local(ish) source so I can now enjoy my snuff again!

The Briar Shoppe is a great place to visit in person, how was it for mail order? Friendly enough staff but I think we had a communication error. The guy on the phone gave me a price on what I wanted, I asked if that was WITH shipping. I think he heard plus shipping because he said yes. I was a little disgruntled when the actual charge that hit my card was $13 more than what he quoted. As I said, I'm sure it was a miscommunication, but next time I'm going to be sure and clarify. On a side note: If I can ever afford a trip to Texas I plan to visit the shop in person

I had quite the mail haul today,
An antique calabash pipe with an original horn stem. I'm pretty happy about it because it really adds to my collection. I have ones with vulcanite, acrylic, bakelite and amber stems, but this is the first horn. An eBay purchase.
Tobacco:
Some new to me ones, War Horse Green, Old Joe Krantz and Haunted Bookshop, which I have already taken quite a liking to.
Unfortunately I ordered 30 assorted SG tins but received a box with 7 tins and something I didn't order. I won't say who I ordered them from until they have had a chance to correct the situation, but I notice that a number of the tins I ordered are already out of stock, so I'm feeling a little put out by this.

Sorry to hear that! Glad you're liking the Haunted Bookshop. Old Joe Krantz is Haunted Bookshop's grandpa. Heavier on the dark burley and heavier on the perique.

You must have lots of space for pipes, to own that many calabashes!

A estate falcon from eBay. And a new meerschaum bowl for it. Love smoking my other meer bowled falcon so I figured I needed another one.

Hadn’t ordered cigars in a while, found San Latano Robustos 50% off, so I got a box, checked off on UPS shipping, got a crappy mail lady, last order she put my box of cigars in a plastic bag and threw it under my oak tree in front yard.

A couple of tins of Capstan Gold Flake and 8 oz. of Fillmore just arrived from SP. The latter has a tin date of Feb. 2021. If you like Fillmore, you might be able to snag some with a year of age already on it.

If you like Fillmore, you might be able to snag some with a year of age already on it. Congrats! I love it when I get an order filled from a box that has slipped to the back and missed being rotated forward. I have a bunch of 2012 MM965 because about 4 years ago, I ordered a couple sleeves from SP and was surprised to get 2012 tins. Back then, I was ordering from SP monthly as I built up my cellar. So, my next order I added a sleeve or two and got 2012 again. I decided to see what happened and did the same with the next order and got lucky again! For newbies: A sleeve is 5 tins. The factory ships five coin style tins wrapped together in a plastic sleeve. Once I learned that, I always order coin style tins in multiples of five to have them better protected during shipping.
