I have a question. Owned Webers all my life. What makes a Green Egg worth the price over a Weber kettle. Don't want a pellet because Wife doesn't like smoked. Thanks.

I just bought one that was on clearance at Kroger after Christmas. It's a Chefman 4 quart. No complaints within it limitations. Can't do a dozen wings.

Hunger has set upon me. So, thinking of making a scratch white sauce for Buckwheat noodles, reheating an old rotisserie chicken, and making a salad. Maybe I will just call Room Service..... damn, they do not answer!!!!

Just pulled a smallish brisket off the pellet smoker. It smoked for 7 hours at 225 degrees. Internal meat temp from 29 to 170, then wrapped in foil and on to 205. Wrapped in a towel and into the Yeti for a couple of hours. Hopefully it will be tender enough to slice and eat around 9pm! It was vacuum sealed in the freezer for a couple of years, so we shall see.

Deep fried scallops tonight, with homemade spoonbread, cole-slaw, baked potato, and green beans...way too much food for this hot weather, but it was mighty good.

Made humus last night. Had some with home baked bread this morning for Breakfast.
Very spicy with smoked paprika, Piri Piri, and garlic. Only one lemon, so Balsamic vinegar. Short of tahini, so a little peanut butter added.

Shepherd's Pie ... so good! 😛 Claim jumper restaurants used to make shepherd’s pie with prime rib from the day before…. It was excellent. Then they dropped it from the menu.
