Grilled cheese on Panera sourdough with tomato basil soup.
Not typically what you would eat on a 113? Degree day, but it is rather chilly at the hacienda.
Raking the spurs tomorrow, off to Colorado!

Best wishes to your son, Ron. Amen to what Pete said… kidney stones are no joke… I pray that they pass quickly. I hope I never get them. Drink more distilled water than you might think is needed. Piss frequently. Do not "hold it". I read there is an sound wave device which can break up kidney stones to facilitate passing. Best of luck and good health to Ron, Mrs. Ron and younger Ron.

He's medicated and we're tired. He's been forcing water since he had the stone last year. 2mm stone should pass in a few days.

Home made Potato salad left over from last Saturday's Wake for the husband of a neighbor. I was unable to attend owing to irrigation ditch responsibilities. So, the widow brought over the potato salad and the brisket they served. I did not ask, she just gave because that is how she is.

If you enjoy smoked herring in a tin, try the Bar Harbor brand. They come from Canadian Atlantic waters. They sometimes offered larger Kippers from the North Sea.

Breakfast today was an English Banger, Black Pudding, Back Bacon, one egg, mushrooms and has brown potatoes. No room in the skillet for beans and tomatoes. LOL!

Lunch in Taos at my usual Mexican joint. The Mixed Taco Plate, one beef, one pork, once chicken, with guacamole, roasted jalapeños, green taco sauce, onions, cilantro, rice and beans. Quite filling and satisfying. The first time in some months I have made it there. this was my first day off in five weeks and of course I returned to much trouble. It seems I cannot leave during irrigation season.

From 1996 to 2006 I drove through there several time a year. There was a pie joint but the rest was all Fast Food.
