Sounds like a meal fit for a king! In Holbrook Az. Smoked brisket and pork ribs, split pea soup, fries, squash/ corn side, fresh bread rolls. Grand Canyon Ale on tap. Where do you find a meal like that in Holbrook. That was the most nothing town I can recall from my days on the road. From 1996 to 2006 I drove through there several time a year. There was a pie joint but the rest was all Fast Food. www.bienvenidosrestaurantaz.com/Everytime I have been here, the owner Michelle has waited on me… very good service, great food, and priced below many places. Not a huge menu, but what they serve, they do a great job. In my experience, restaurants with a huge menu, try to do too much and the quality is just not there. Still, Holbrook is one of them towns you pass through, not a place most would choose to live. I am glad Michelle did though.

Orange chicken, spinich and corn with peppers, onions and cilantro, and spinich. I wasn't with the program all day so I just grabbed the stuff that fell out of the freezer when I opened the door. It was good though.

Sausage patty, tinned Corned Beef Patty, one fried egg, sliced tomato, sliced baby Portobello mushrooms, hash brown potatoes. Would have made a nice photo all together in the skillet.

My friend and neighbor has been diagnosed with COVID and feels very ill. He has previously burst his aorta and had kidney cancer. SO, when he asked for delivery of Thai dishes, I made the forty mile round trip to bring him Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, both 5 out of 5 Thai HOT. He believes that will cure about anything... or kill him.
So, other people asked, "Since you going to San Luis would you bring me back...." . Running a food service delivery, LOL! I do not mind if it helps keep the doors open for these lovely Thai people who settled north of here.

It's been hotter than hell here for the last week - like it has been most places - but today it was cooler. So, my wife and I drove to a nearby town to a bar/restaurant where we knew they had outdoor seating.
I had a hamburger called an "Elvis P" - a double cheese burger with American cheese, lettuce, onion, pickle, mayo, and "tons of bacon". The burgers were actually ground steak of some sort. I could taste the difference.
It was so good, but I asked if I could order it with just 1 patty next time. They said yes, most people did!

Fresh made taco salads for two, followed, after a time, by leftover birthday cake and coffee. Our neighbors gave my wife a beautiful cookie tray, so the cake didn't see much action yesterday.

I Googled the Elvis Presley burger, all the recipes seem to have a few ounces of peanut butter on them. You eat that very often Monty, you will need to have your tailor let out the seams on your rhinestone white jumpsuit.
