That is such a sweet photo! I liked George as a person. Although I voted for McCain in the first election. George had my support in the second. I had an enormous "Bush" sign on the edge of my pasture along the highway. I took a lot of shite for it from people here but that is the way it rolls in the US of A! Seemed like a good idea at the time. He looked good compared to the other choices. Politicians all suck after you get to know them. WE'VE FOUND COMMON GROUND!

Local bakery (Taos) black olive bread with Tillamook cream cheese. Turkish coffee.
Likely a frozen pizza tonight! I will heat the pizza stone on the hot plate to see if I can get it warm enough for the pizza/toaster oven to make a difference. The oven on its own does not do squat.
I like the "Against The Grain" Pesto and Tapioca Flour pizzas with my own addition.

Crispy tofu, scrambled egg (1), rice, left over Shrimp in Lobster Sauce from the restaurant in town. All in an iron skillet. Good, too.

Trying to get my counter top electric pizza oven, really just a big toaster oven, hot enough to bake a pizza with a lot of veggies and cheese on it. Red bell, red onions, olives, mushrooms, anchovies, pepperoncini, extra mozzarella. Have an oven stone on top of it as extra insulation. Hoping there is no thermal limit switch to spoil the party!

Cooked a fillet mignon in the Ninja for dinner tonight. 10 minute on high (500F). Awesome! Tater tots - some with ketchup, some with Aioli.
And a bottle of Super Tuscan that I just bottled 2 days ago. It's "green", but I knew from a small sample I tried at bottling that it was going to be a good batch. It's great and should only get better over the next couple of years.

Failure. Lower element not heating so crust does not even bake let alone become crisp. I will pull it apart if I can to check the electrical connections but have a feeling it is not "openable". So, it may go to the Solid Waste Transfer Station and then to the county landfill where it will dissolve over a millennium.

heh heh...the Ed was tied up with misc wifie needs. Fri she got an xtra Meals on Wheels so had to use up. I got my usual fishie after helping her put away groceries. Always a take out, was either cod or haddock, so big I order just 1/2. Sides of cottage cheese & applesauce. Both in side freezer, will consume whenever probably this afternoon sometime. As for next, Schwan #717, add cut up sausage link & some cubed cheddar. Nuke to plateful of mess, add k-cup cocoa, to smoking room desk, eat & continue with the papers.
Really appreciate the "shots" headed my way 'bout weather, eats etc, makes me feel "wanted", enjoy always the mentions. Now at +6, no new snow, roads clear, sounds like an all-inside day

Nothing from Ed is complete without “Nuke to plateful of mess.” I’d like to see it applied to Congress.
(Oh, geez! Mea maxima culpa! I went political… No worries. It was a brief attack of indiscretion.)

Don Miguel microwave chimichanga for breakfast. No way representative of a Chimichanga, but it was convenient and I needed to eat something.

I doubt there are many anywhere who would be offended by that.

Agreed.
I think that the wild assed critters on both sides of the aisle have rampaged through the laboratory of the grand experiment. Everything is in tatters.

after snoozie & kitchen cleanup, Zweigles skin-on red dawg, 12mins @300f on GeoForeman grill. Two slices AlCohen seeded rye instead of bun. Side of Musselmans smooth applesauce. To 6pm newsfeed of local/national doings. Jeopardy re-nun later, tea & cookies for company, both store bought

A sliced chicken breast sandwich on black olive bread with lettuce, onions, and mayo.
I have a tri-tip in the dutch oven on the stove top for a pot roast tonight. Smells good. The first beef in many months.

The first beef in many months. Leftover tritip when chilled sliced thin makes great roast beef AuJus. I just have a hard time sourcing crusty bread to make it super good. Always a bummer when you order an AuJus sandwich at a restaurant and they put it on soft rolls!
