What tobacco would you use to make a basic toast? I'm curious if I have something that will work or need to wait till I order some leaf.

What tobacco would you use to make a basic toast? I'm curious if I have something that will work or need to wait till I order some leaf. Burley for a "standard" Toast, I'd say. However, Flue Cured Virginia makes a nice Toast also. What do you have in mind for toasting method? |

Terry, I'm ordering some whole leaf today. I'll send you some of each whenever it gets here.
Itll be much better than using pipe tobacco. In the meantime, keep experimenting

Garrett, but I'm thinking of switching off to HDT now! I'm glad I have a 50g, but it's running low. A few years back I ground some "Natural" RYO and alkalized it. VaBur and probably cased with something subliminal. I didn't toast it, but it was actually decent as-was and could possibly make a passable toast. Just an idea until you get some leaf, adui. |

This Otto AM has really been hitting the spot lately. I only have half a tin left too. I really don't NEED to order more, but I really WANT to.
I'm glad I havent spent too much on tobacco this year, but I've definitely made up for that over the last few weeks

So I had some smokers pride rich taste that I infused with bourbon. I dried / toasted it in the oven after adding a tablespoon of water that had nasal salt dissolved in it. Once it was well dried I ground it and added a pinch of menthol. Ground that up.
So far I am liking it.

Toque USA makes a Kentucky Bourbon. It was OK, not a reorder for me. The Whisk(e)y and Honey, however, is a repeat bulk purchase.
HDT, mostly. Some dry Klostermishung in between.

Once it was well dried I ground it and added a pinch of menthol. Ground that up. So far I am liking it. The bourbon is definitely present in this so score there. Unfortunately I think I added too much menthol, its a bit overpowering and I have to search for the other flavors. I'm going to grind up more of the tobacco and add it in. Hopefully I can save a bowl or two for pipe as Ive not yet tasted it there. |

I need to up my game on mic-pouch management.
Down to my last 1/2 tin, placed an order with Meester Snuff.
Looks like On! Will have to be my supplemental, not as good though.
Going on 3 weeks with a cold, after the Navage treatment the Hedges L260 does the trick with menthol.

So, my homeless odyssey is almost over and this morning I am gathering stuff and find a Zip Loc from my old fridge. St Casura, Son de Tonka, Pure Virginia Toast 2016, and Arabesque have been with me the whole time!
St Casura--the bergamot has faded, but the toasty Abraxas flour is still wonderful.

Lol I l9be the scent of this one, but it doesnt have the kick that I want. I guess I could use a funnel, do a head stand, and put about a teaspoon in each nostril. |

It wasn't supposed to dip below freezing down here until after lunch. Right now it's 37 with a real feel of 28. We had rain all week, and now 20 mph winds. I love the cold, but I dont love the wetness or the wind. It won't get back above freezing here until Sunday or Monday. 48+ plus hours for single digits and teens is unheard of this far south. I'll spend these cold days cleaning pipes and shoving snuff up my nose. Red label black sounds good, it's been a while. So, that. |

I havent seen the berry one or I would have definitely given it a try. I stick with 8s and coffee flavor for the most part. Theyre frozen in the car right now, and I not freezing to go grab them.
