Welp, thought I was done with cookies yesterday and found out someone didn't make the pizzelles after I was told they would make them if I mixed them up. Had to throw those batches out and make new. Since I had everything back out made a couple almond biscotti's for a snack with coffee in the morning. It's starting to look like I need to get my shorts out, it's all the way up to 5.

Well, it’s a mess. Ceiling finish coming down in places. Looks there’s more of that to come. Maintenance guy said there are 30 apartments with flooding.
I did all I could. It’s in their hands for now. I packed up and left town to visit the folks for Xmas, as planned.

As we were heading to bed around midnight, the driveway sensor went off. I looked out the front door and there was a big buck standing in the yard under the security light. He was beautiful with a huge rack. I hope that it's a good omen for the next year.

Finally ventured out and got the drive cleaned up and cars moved around. I should have plenty of parking and am waiting for Kim to finish up in the kitchen so I can get extra tables and chairs set up. Gonna be a packed today.

Last of the family just left and a good time was had by all. My oldest daughter and grandkids face timed us from Utah and gave a tour of her new house. I'm whooped and going to smoke a quick pipe and go to bed. Another holiday in the books, have a small group next week and we're in the clear until Easter.

 Family called Christmas Day, all disappointed in Cancelation, my wife down, she enjoys feeding them, I like to have them around. Wife’s Birthday is on the 29th, she will be 77, she a scratch off Queen, I remember when the grandkids stayed all summer with us, they loved to go to Lafayette and shop with their Grandmaw, stopping in Maurice and scratching off. Her Pruis was always littered with non winning tickets on floorboards.

I forgot how long scratch offs have been around, quite awhile.
I remember in California as soon as they came out with them, a guy in Scotts Valley (desireable location) took all the equity from his house ina 2nd mortgage to buy scratch offs, and he got burned pretty good.

If I was the corporate ceo of either the 7-11 or family dollar I saw, the stores would close permanently, and I would announce that we have no desire to serve communities that conduct themselves that way and victimize others for their own gain. In the case of the family dollar video, everyone seemed to be on foot, so it was all locals. |

I must have done something right. All four of my kids work and bust their rears. My youngest called of sick once because she had a stuffy nose. After a proper rear chewing she's never called off except for when she had covid. |
