Just received word from a reliable person there is no Diesel fuel for sale in the town of Taos.
People are advised to drive 45 miles north to our little village and its one gas station for fuel. So, we will probably be out by the end of today. It is never for sale in the next town of San Luis CO, about 20 miles north of us.
Apparently, some asshole started a shortage rumor and the panic buying drained the town's supply.

Just received word from a reliable person there is no Diesel fuel for sale in the town of Taos. People are advised to drive 45 miles north to our little village and its one gas station for fuel. So, we will probably be out by the end of today. It is never for sale in the next town of San Luis CO, about 20 miles north of us. Apparently, some asshole started a shortage rumor and the panic buying drained the town's supply. That's crazy. What on earth are people to do? |

Sounds like a good time. My family is just up the road in Summertown, TN. Beautiful area of the country. I might have to check out the school sometime in the future.

Sounds like a good time. My family is just up the road in Summertown, TN. Beautiful area of the country. I might have to check out the school sometime in the future.

I have a recollection of a bunch of West Coast Hippies purchasing a sizeable amount of farm land near Summertown, Tn. to establish a large commune back in the early 1970's. Do you know whether such a Hippie commune still exists in Summertown area and whether they were able to live sustainable livelihoods without doing something offsite for monetary support of their lifestyle? |

Looks like she's staying the night. My son put out a towel for her and my wife made him put out a padded rug. I suggested that we go to Tractor Supply for a dog house and a chain link dog run. I got a really dirty look. She's watching the front door closely.

As noted in WAYS thread, I had a busy day. I got some of my pepper plants put in the garden boxes, along with lettuce starts and radish seeds to keep them company. The peppers are hot Hungarian peppers, Romanian wax peppers and sweet yellow banana peppers. I'll be at work some of the day tomorrow, prepping the rest of the garden and planting more peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, Italian parsley and basil.
