There's a geomagnetic level G1 storm from a coronal mass ejection from the sun all day today. Radiation beaming at the Earth and out into space at about 1.8 million MPH. That explains it! I drove 45 miles to town today, filled a cart with groceries, went to the checkout and NO WALLET. Only option was to drive the 45 miles back home. Wallet waiting in its place. Oof. |

Little triumphs, all we can get sometimes. Today I wrestled with a crush washer and finally got a comp installed on the new Ruger 5.56. This gun does NOT need a comp but in my war against recoil I installed one anyway. Fired for test and was pleased that with Brit mil ammo the recoil was about like a 22LR on a light rifle. Success! Doesn’t take much these days to make me happy.

Funnest mass ejection you can have with your pants on. From an online article: “ Forecasters noted that gaseous material was flowing from a southern hole in the Sun's atmosphere. What are these coronal holes? ” I have the same problem in my Southern Hemisphere from time to time. |

Did some more shooting with it today and am amazed at how much it reduces the recoil. This is what I have on mine. The recoil is not noticeable to me but the muzzle blast kills me. The big part screws over the muzzle brake and cuts the sound for the shooter by about 30%. |

There are some holy crap! Stories embedded where the winners got nailed.
If you go back to re-read the embedded links, best to read them all if so inclined, too many clicks and Forbes locks you out for not paying the freight.

I see a lot of people that by appearance, probably shouldn’t be dropping $60 everytime they buy lottery tickets. I suspect many get to old age and complain that all they have is SS to get by on.
