I can't see the video. It's geo-restricted and I don't have a VPN. Still, I agree, there should be no need for someone to punch a 67 year old man.

It was a really hefty male that put his whole weight into delivering a punch into the side of the other guys head. I would be surprised if the guy didn’t get some sort of brain damage.

Weather finally broke. We got a quarter inch of rain last night and 3/4 inch so far today. Heats way down too.

We have been getting our fair share of rain here, with more to come. 98° 31% humidity, dew point 62°
People tell me it is miserable outside, I wouldn’t know… as long as I am on crutches, I am not venturing out unless I have to.

High in the upper 70s to around 80 today in the Chicago area--a break from the mid- to upper 80s that we'd been having, but most of all a break from the humidity. Was really nice to sleep with the windows open and be comfortable, and then to roll down all the windows and open the sunroof on the drive to work. I'd like summer if every day were like this.

Been spending time in the gun shack working up loads for the new 5.56 Nato bolt gun. Why do ballisticians get premature gray hair? I did a rough calc of the load variations possible for this one cartridge and came up with 324,000. Add to that that three rifles off the line, say #s 101, 102, 103 will all perform differently and you have the formula for lots and lots of gray hair!

We, too, had a downpouring for a brief time. Puddles in places! Always welcome. Green here, mostly weeds or, as I refer to them now, "volunteers".

My idea of reloading is pouring a measure of powder down the barrel, stuffing some wadding and dropping a ball. Tap, tap with the old ramrod.

Solution: Avoid the office. We're down to 2 days a week. I have my doubts we'll ever get below that again, barring another 2020; not while our current GM is still in charge, anyway. I don't mind going to the office. It gets me out of the house a couple days a week.

But then, what would I do for the rest of the day? (BTW, I miscalculated by not allowing for primer variance. New number is 3,240,000. Insanity looms. But crazy people are often very, very happy.)

But even that can become a science if you let it. People play with patch thickness, ball size, and powder charge. Some even go as far as determining all that with different brands of caps.

You've been getting rain while it's actually good over here for once. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to really see it much.

From what I can tell, this pre-measured powder in a metallic cartridge with bullet attached and a Primer seated, all this here to stay. So, you might as well enjoy putting it together.

Ugh. Town day. Errands, supplies, haircut. I hate it. Everything cost noticeably more than my last trip to town. My usual $160 worth of supplies was $190. My barber raised his price from $12 to $15. Then I lost my prescription meds in the parking lot. That’s what I get for going into town!
(Some kind soul found the meds, took them into the pharmacy and they are mailing them to me.)

I understand your frustrations. Just wanted to let you know you are still doing well with a $15 haircut. My barber went up to $20 per cut since Jan. 1st!

With the inflation, interest rates, stock market, fuel costs, we are all getting a haircut.

Went to the grocery today for just a few things. The internet connection was down so they couldn't take credit cards. I knew I had cash that I got for the Shreveport stay and never used so I did my shopping. Really, about 15 items, canned soup, bread, Cran-apple, etc. So, he rings it up and its $107.68! I had exactly 108 bucks. I told him to keep the change.

My haircuts cost me less than £5 per month in blade subscription. I'm glad I at least don't have to pair for proper hair cuts.
