Yeah, getting snake bit man or beast would be a bad day, probably not a bad idea to wear som gaiters at the very least. Protection for a dog would really be challenging I would guess.

Watching the good morning Arizona type show and they were at a Lexus dealer showing off the latest update to the 2022 Lexus LX 600 Ultra Luxury wagon.
Wow, what a ride! They never told the price, so I had to use my Google Fu… no wonder they didn’t mention the price. They start at 126K!
Maybe if I can get 140 of you all to pony up 1k apiece to cover taxes and upgrades.😂

Den still smells after last night's LBF, even though I left the air purifier running on high all night. Starting to have doubts about this indoor smoking experiment.

Here in a bit Imma start putting together a SecureIt 52 gun cabinet. (That's 52" tall, not 52-gun capacity.) Being an apartment dweller and having a bad back, a full-on safe is just a nonstarter for me. This seemed to be the next best thing.

Yeah, getting snake bit man or beast would be a bad day, probably not a bad idea to wear som gaiters at the very least. Protection for a dog would really be challenging I would guess. The best protection for a dog is the Redrock snakebite vaccine available at the vet. My dogs have all been on it for years. Jack has been bitten several times and gotten thru it with flying colors. Eli not yet, but it is probably inevitable. I urge every dog owner who lives in snake country to get the vaccine. It is cheap insurance, and not costly at all in the $ department either. BTW, this can also be a test of how much of a gouger your vet is. Mine charges about $25 for the initial dose and $17 for the annual booster. Could be up a bit over that now, but if it’s $50 and $30-40 you will know the score.

There is a hazard worse than snake bit by far and I just missed it. Riding back from changing the water to a new set of irrigators, I was lit up from behind by a mighty searchlight then "Pow", a boom which almost flattened me. Lightning struck about 150 yards behind me which is just too close when dealing with that kind of plasma.

Do you remember this old boy? He was my avatar for a time. Some of us speculated on who, where and when. Now it can be told courtesy of "True West Magazine". The first day the Homestead Act went into effect, January 1, 1863, a farmer named Daniel Freeman (pictured) filed his claim on land near Beatrice, Nebraska. Seventy-three years later, in 1936, this claim became the site of the Homestead National Monument of America.

Well, the cabinet's together. Took longer to unpack it and find the dang hardware bag than it did to assemble it. Being dimwitted, I failed to have a piece of 1x on hand to match the depth of the baseboard, so I can't attach it to the wall at the top yet.

Awesome Monty, that is a beautiful looking baby.
Remind them two parents… grandchildren are God’s reward for not abandoning them during the years of them plodding through their journey in the teenage wasteland.😉
Congratulations!

And speaking of grandchildren, I know one who might very well try playing with a snake--might even bite back if it bit her. I'm glad this spirited youngun wasn't badly hurt.Wow… he had a bad day at the office. “Deaths from snakebites in the U.S. are rare, according to data released by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
