I spent the last 5 hours of my work day driving from job to job getting updates on where we are and "addressing" the home owners concerns. That felt like a 12 hour shift.
Man... give me my old job back! Show up, work like hell and make an 8 hour day feel like 2 hours, go home.
Where's that 💩 drywall ceiling from last week?

But out of the handful of jobs I've had, this one is my favorite. I'm not a people person, who woulda thought? Sending ME to address customers concerns was right up my alley!!! I got it done though, and I have 4 customers reassured and happy again. I got a triple dose today. My old job, my new job, and filling in for my project manager because he's out sick. |

Closest I came to a fun job was the 5 seasons I was the greenskeeper of a golf course. Got to work outdoors. Had no problem working hard when it was called for. Enjoyed the accomplishments. Turned my course into a well "manicured" oasis. Was my own boss - mostly. Had the best greens (the only living greens) in central Illinois in 1977 (I think it was) - when it was 90⁰F and 90% humidity by 0800 every day all summer. Fungus diseases were running rampant, killing the greens. People from the University of Illinois came to my golf course to look at the greens and ask why mine were still alive. Unfortunately, they asked my boss who was over all the courses - not me. But I'm not sure I could have told them anyway because I was totally ignoring my bosses orders and doing what I took to keep them alive. He would have fired me for it. Played a lot of golf. And all the muskrats I could shoot too. |

"Fun" was not a consideration. Pay was the main determination. |

I'm still learning how to be a retired person. If I were to take on some sort of part-time work, it would have to be enjoyable or I won't do it. My career in the auto industry could be interesting, challenging, rewarding and frustrating. Fun? Not quite.

They all seem to be a mix of good and bad. I think that's normal. If it's all bad, gt out. If it's all good, you're smoking something nice. |

Raining again. Forecast if for heavy rains the next seven days. Nice and green here. Weeds are doing so well I cannot call them Weeds anymore. They are now "Volunteers"!

We have had more rains than recent years, the aquifer certainly needs it.
Arizona has been told that water from the Colorado river is going to be reduced, which will mainly affect the farmers.
What grass I have, I am looking to replace with artificial turf, what is on the market now is a lot better than yesterday’s choices, but it comes with a hefty price!
We need about ten years of heavy winter snows to get Lake Mead where it should be.😕

That movie came out about that time and everyone was laughing about it because I was shooting the muskrats that were turning a landfill dam into swiss cheese. AND I had a guy working for me who looked a lot like Bill Murray's character - and he'd sneak off at lunch time and smoke a joint too. |

Raining again. Forecast if for heavy rains the next seven days. Nice and green here. Weeds are doing so well I cannot call them Weeds anymore. They are now "Volunteers"! It looks like Questa here. We had a 50% chance of rain and we watched it go by in the distance. |

Rocks!! Caught one with the edge of my windshield yesterday. 1/8" to the left and it would have missed. It started as a 3" crack, went to 6" by last night. This morning it was over 12". It just has to last until Friday, that's the earliest they could schedule me at the shop.  |

A week after you get it repaired, another one will happen… with all the rock landscaping, it is an Arizona thing. When I get the starburst chips not in line of sight, I blow it off… 6 to 12 inch overnite is a different story. |

Usually just a little chip or a star no bigger than a dime. But this one hit just right and it's growing.   |

Coupla momentous days… stayed in the 80s ‘til later in the afternoon. Got lots done. Mowed and refurbed the 50, 100, 200 ranges. Moved the main shooting bench.
Mowed other needful areas. Started testing deer ammo. We always move into really nice weather nearabouts this time of this year. Sure hope this is it, but it’s getting hot again this afternoon. Maybe spoke too soon. But I’ll take what I can get.
