Watching the Saints/ Buccaneers game… whole lotta fighting going on!
As the team captain, Brady certainly contributed to it in his on the field frustration, but he settled down and showed off his skills.

Yeah, my Panasonic Lumix pocket camera is 10mp it takes great pictures! Ron— I have a little Panasonic DMC-LX5 that takes brilliant pictures. Only 9.5Mp but that Vario-Summicron (Leica) lens punches way, way above the little thing’s weight. Only about the size of a pack of king-size cigarettes, it’s a little gem that even though “obsolete” I hope to never part with. I just picked up a Lumix LX7 on eBay. Just hoping I can use it.

Deer season approaches. It’s a big deal here on the ranch b/c it’s our meat-harvest for year coming up. Last year I felt I a little unprepared, due to various extraneous issues. This year I am probably over-prepared. Have four rifles ready to go. All bolt-guns: a Ruger American in 5.56 NATO for Sierra 65-grain GameKIngs; a Remington Model Seven in 7mm-08 for 140 grain Nosler BTSPs; a Ruger American in .308 for 165gr Speer RNs; and for rainy/snowy days an iron-sighted Ruger All-Weather in 30-06 for 180 grain RNSPs. So far I have four tags, with three in the wings, and will no doubt not use them all unless there are neighbors in need. Enough is enough after all.

Elk season underway. One Billionaire set up a two story blind so he can take the elk who come into his alfalfa field in search of the nourishment they have enjoyed all summer. I have to access that field for irrigation work as a major ditch runs through it supplying a farm to the north. I hate doing that as it disturbs the game and irritates the hunters. I expect trouble over this. Nothing I can do when people have conflicts: hunting versus irrigating.

I am afraid we have those dumbasses here, too. A neighbors horse was shot in the pasture by his house.

The stock market sure sucks, many of us are taking a hit. Elections certainly have consequences…. I was doing great until fuzzy slippered feeble fart escaped his basement and threw a pipe wrench into the jet engine of the economy.

I was doing great until fuzzy slippered feeble fart escaped his basement and threw a pipe wrench into the jet engine of the economy. I’ve been doing ok with stocks so far this year but in now way as good as the last few years. I hopped on a few of those stupid meme stocks last year and made outrageous returns. I’m about break even on crypto but I lost all my gains from the previous two years

Getting back into biking over the last 3 or 4 weeks - ever since it cooled off.
A 16.2 mile ride has become my "standard" daily ride. Averaging around 13.3 mph.
In 2017, it was more like 15 mph - but then I biked 2200 miles that year, so I was in better shape - and 5 years younger.
This winter the bike will go in for an overhaul. New tires, tubes, rear wheel and a tune up. Maybe I'll pick up more speed then.

Needed some plumbing work, gas line restrapped, under sink water filter hooked up, When oldest son replaced our sink faucet he didn’t have the fitting for the filters, told him never mind, a year later wife doesn’t like to use Refegerator filter for coffee maker. Young plumber showed up, just starting, did a good job, had to go in town to get the right fittings, when he figured the bill, which was very reasonable I gave him 50$ extra for the trip in town. H said he was a cigar smoker, gave him a big handful from my stash, he left very satisfied.

Weird phenomenon! Small, concentrated globules of moisture (probably H2O) fell from the sky for a few minutes this morning. Any idea what they could be? Should I be alarmed?

Good morning Patch. Another day another dollar!! I hope to be at pipe night this eve, so for those who are going, see you there! I should be there, and I think for a Wednesday night turn out it is going to be attended better than an average pipe night. That is a good thing, I know some are less than pleased about us going down the road, in the end I think that it will be good for two tobacconists than just one.
