If you join the Laphroiag club on their website, you can get a piece of Scotland from them. I think it's about one square inch of turf. Well I have 5 sq ft! And supposedly a tree gets planted on it. My kids always ask what I want for birthdays and holidays. I do not want anything, do not need or want. So they spend $200 to say I own some land in Scotland, and a certificate that I am an honorary landowner in old school script. The people that dream up pet rocks, name a star after someone, and this nonsense… I have to hand it to them. The people that spend the money….🤨 I need to start selling parts of the Grand Canyon, I could be generous and do it by the acre.

This morning wife used our mini chain saw to cut her Crepe Myrtles, had 2 big stacks neatly laid out. Parish trash truck passed, we know of the young man who runs it, always doesn’t want a 10$ bill , says he can’t accept it, I throw it in his open window. This morning wife and I didn’t have a 10$ bill, I had a 20, told wife go give hum this. She flagged him down as he was leaving, again he didn’t want it, she said you do such a good job, no he says you always stack it neatly. She then climbed up the running board and opened the door and threw the 20$ bill inside. Told her when she came back, You Did a Good Thing.

May your tree leaf, flower and grow.

I'm about to chainsaw our crepe myrtles too, after this storm. That wood really burns for a long time if anyone needs firewood. Grows back fast too.

I put out 150 pounds of fertilizer this morning, before the storm comes through in a little while. Tornados forecast as usual.

Thanks guys, not much we can do. The tornados are all over our stomping grounds, and headed in this direction. I think it might go north of us. Fingers crossed, it's in G-ds hands.

Oh man, I didn't even see that line of storms. It looks like it's going to get worse as it moves east.
I'm glad you're ok.

Good news, Ron...maybe not so much for the trucker, hope he was parked. When them storms are brewing, it is a fools game not to wait it out... I park it for torrential downpours and heavy winds/ dust storms. Did my annual physical with full labs. The doctor said that I am truly blessed, I take no prescriptions for anything, and my labs are that of a 25 year old healthy male. The knee has been significantly better, still not sure if I can resume full duties, but i am cautiously optimistic. I have no doubt my work regimen is the reason for my good health. Our worksite recently hit the benchmark on staffing that triggered us getting an onsite manager, and hiring support staff instead of being satellite employees. I have been in the world of logistics/ transportation since the early 80's and being on light duty/ office work, I am able to inform the new manager on a variety of issues and take on projects that have helped him in his onboarding process...he is a really cool cat. I will be training a few new hires over the next month...still at the desk for two weeks, then off to the reservation to ride with them to see if they have the right stuff. I do not want an office job though...my heart is out on the field engaging with patients, and riding in Monument valley and the four corners...such a magical place, physical work, and helping to save and sustain lives...that is the way I would like to close the books on my career. In the Lord's hands.

Sage advice, Ron. But he comes across as pretty legit...been in the game a long time. I cover the bases like the Astros chasing the pennant though.

Glad Ron is OK. Charlie, if your phys results are those of a 25YO man you need to give ‘em back. He’ll miss them.

Had 10 major tornados in the area last night. One person dead and 7 injured that I know of. We just had a little wind and an inch and a half of rain at our house. And the rest of the pine needles came down.

But they have bulldozers and big chainsaws and a lot of people so it will be done in a few days. Y'all have earthquakes and wildfires, we have weather.

It’s cool and cloudy today, still damp after all day rain yesterday. No big plans today. Maybe record a couple of videos, then go to the cigar lounge

A day like that I would be eating raspberries and cream, too. Here it is like the Oklahoma Dust Bowl of the 1930s. Howling winds and darkness from huge dust clouds as the soil is blown off of the desiccated fields and into the air. Any sand worms? So far, no.
