Today makes 2 weeks without a drop of alcohol. I'm not sure how long I'll go before allowing a wee dram but wanted to take a break for now. It is always good to have a dry period. Just to make certain who is in control of which. When alcohol becomes a daily necessity trouble lies ahead. Exactly! It wasn't causing any issues or becoming a "problem" but was a daily routine. Like you said, a break is not only good physically but lets you know you're in charge. 👍

I have to remind myself to have the occasional drink. Ahhhh.... Yes indeed. I'm liking this. It's good and not heavy at all. If I was eating wings or a steak I would prefer the Bock, but with the light meals or a salami sandwich it's perfect.

They had shiner bock in several varieties, but I am not into strawberry and such, just the flagship ale. After looking at the ad, they extended the $5 all weekend, it goes for a whole range of groceries, picked up a couple tri-tips for Memorial Day. imgur.com/a/Tz1CYGQ

Johnnie Walker Blue...gonna miss this free stuff. When I was doing hazmat removal, a case of this flam/ liquid had been compromised as the case and labels had water damage. Doing my part in the disposal process, but we are at the end of that trail.

Johnnie Walker Blue...gonna miss this free stuff. When I was doing hazmat removal, a case of this flam/ liquid had been compromised as the case and labels had water damage. Doing my part in the disposal process, but we are at the end of that trail. Reminds me of the scene in Ft. Apache where First Sgt. Mulcahy and his cohort were told to dispose of a barrel of whiskey being illegally transported to the Indians. "Boys," Victor McLaglen says, dipping his cup into the barrel, "we've a man's work ahead of us."
