So where do you like to kick back and enjoy your pipe? I'm always looking for ideas for my mancave and would love to see pic's of your pipe hangouts. Here's a few of mine... Stairway to the mancave Top of the landing Stocked and ready for a poker game a couple of weeks back About half of the stable Poor mans refurb center

A few weeks back we had some thunder boomers roll through and knocked out our power. No worries, up to the mancave, candle in hand, and all is good.

Really nice place, mine is small in a 100 yr old house , my bathroom with washer and dryer is adjacent and wife bitches every time she passes thru to wash clothes about pipes and smell, my selective hearing kicks in also.

I am lucky enough to be able to smoke anywhere anytime! Except at work, where I am forced to take my hourly smoke break out on the street

Very cool place you have there. I'm forced to smoke outside of the house due to my wife's COPD issues. So here's my winter spot in the garage: And my warm weather "cave":

And hey Dino: That cob in your stable remains unsmoked! Make a plan! Ha! That's actually by design antb. I have poker nights once a month or so. Over the years, before I was into pipes, I was able to convert a dozen or so guys into cigar smokers and scotch drinkers. With the pipes, I'm finding that some folks have a fear of smoking an estate pipe. Some are afraid that they're gonna somehow hurt it, others aren't convinced that I was able to completely sanitize the thing and that there might somehow still be koodies on or in the pipe. So, I keep about half a dozen MM cobs around just for those occasions. If they enjoyed it, I just give em the pipe and a baggie with some of the tobacco they enjoyed. Hopin to start a veritable Pipe Stampede one poker game at a time.

Hey Papipe, I love your ingenuity. Looks like you got everything ya need. Briar, Baccy, Barcalounger (lawn chair)& wifi. What year is your MG? From looking at the tail lights I'm gonna guess late 70's early 80's? I used to be into MG's. Back when I was in the Navy, 81 - 87, I had a 57 MGA, a 63 MGB and last one was a 67 MGC.

Bo, the MGB is 1977. Build date was December 1976. I had a '67 in college so I thought it was time to get a toy 4 years ago. Still fun to drive. It starts, goes and even stops on command. I'm hoping we're only a couple of weeks away from top down weather.

Don't get me wrong, we've had plenty of days in the 80's already this year, but they're either followed by freezing weather or here lately, wicked pine pollen everywhere. So, I'll be poppin the top on the Red Rocket this weeekend.

I'm lucky enough to live alone, so the whole house is my smoking cave, but I'm with John - a place to put the pc, some snacks and drinks, and you're good to go. Here's a stock picture of my MG (mine's the same year and colors, but dirtier). Some may say it's technically not made in England at all, but it starts, goes and stops, and doesn't leak oil anywhere. Top down weather is just coming to an end, here in Texas. These would be pictures of my cellar, on the day a random guy I didn't know GAVE it all to me.

The Miata you should buy; they're cheaper than a Honda Civic and just happen to be the greatest cars ever made by man. No infotainment tracking system (as long as you get a 1st or 2nd generation), no veto power or remote access, only what you need. Balanced 50/50 and takes well to induction. There's a reason they're the most raced cars ever; the price is just a bonus. My 99 Emerald Mica is the top of the line, and has bigger wheels, the sport suspension, Nardi steering wheel and a Torsen diff. You don't ever see anyone having more fun than you; a perfect match for hard street driving, you just don't get the best fuel mileage when your engine is turning 7K.
The cellar was from a guy who was giving up smoking, and said show up to this parking lot and you can have it. In the pics, my bro had already taken about a third of it, and there's some more boxes in the other room. Dude did it right, spending his money mostly on cobs and baskets, and put the bucks into the tobacco. Everything was hand labeled and the pipes were all unsmoked. I can't figure out why none of the pipes had been smoked. A rough guess would be maybe $10,000 worth total. Since he gave it all to me 'in the spirit of piping', I gave about two thirds of the pipes and tobacco to poor and deployed folks and smoked the rest; I kept about ten of the pipes. The big Comoy's billiard top center in the first pic is one of my favorite pipes.
It was the most generous single piper gift I've yet to see - we actually had trouble fitting it all in the Miata, stuffing the teeny trunk full, the passenger compartment and the parcel shelf. Was kinda hoping I'd get pulled over to see what the cop said.

Most of my smoking is done in the cab of the Mack Tractor, hours on end of the open highway...when I get home, I tend not to smoke...too much to do. Wnen I am home, this is my smoking area....kinda messy, but it scratches that Oscar Madison itch. The cabinets are overflowing with tins and jars of tobacco...on the unseen wall are 400-500 books.

I was just getting green with envy about that well kept mancave of Dino when I saw with relief that other guys have a messy cave like me! Good thing is I get to smoke indoors whenever I like.

Ha, thanks Frank. Actually that's creative photography. Here's a few that didn't make the first cut... This is from a couple of weeks back. I've since cleared off the 2nd from the top shelf and it's full of Mason Jars with Piping Goodness in em. About half of the candidates next in line for refurbin... A good start on an evenings smokin medley Smokers on deck, waiting their turn.

I can smoke in the house and actually have a better set-up there; however, here's my favorite one out in the work barn. Not very high brow but a man is happiest where he spends most of his time:

I won't smoke in the house, just can't stand the smell so I'm out in my rocker on the porch most the time but, I have been know to smoke a bit in the shop cause most the smells that go on it there will kill the tobacco smoke fairly quickly. Both photo's are from awhile back before I shaved off the beard and got more equipment in the shop and it's only 7'x11'.

Truth be told, although I've probably drank enough beer to float a battle ship, I didn't drink a single one of those. Back in the day before recycling when drunk driving was a $35 fine, I found almost all of them ditch hopping on my bike in various locations, pop bottles too for which I could get a nickel return. Every can on that shelf is at least 42 years old. Not sure if they're worth anything now but I still like looking at them and thinking about the days when I chased them as a youth and thought they'd be worth gold when I got older. Maybe not one of my better investments in time but it was fun. WD-40 is like good tobacco - You can never have enough.
