Being a fan of aromatics, I did not expect to like this tobacco very much but Boswell’s Countryside is a very pleasant smoke indeed. The tobacco is very mild with no bite. Part of my enjoyment while smoking a pipe, is the scent of the tobacco I sometimes experience after exhaling. Countryside has a subtle sweet taste and a lovely “after scent” for lack of better word. I can also taste the Latakia. This tobacco is a wonderful crossover from aromatic to English. Bravo, Boswell.

Good Evening, Good Evening! It's 77° with a mostly cloudy sky and some sunshine out here on the deck. Enjoying a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the Sav rusticated billiard before dinner and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Have a great night, everybody!

59 degrees here, I have Captain Black Royal in a Custombuilt pot, coffee on the side. Rain in the forecast for the next three days, but I'm heading to Lowes, today, for my yearly supply of charcoal. In the past, here Lowe’s had fantastic prices on Kingsford during Memorial weekend, this year the prices do not seem much different than anywhere else. $17.88 for twin pack of 16# Actually, in the past it was on the 4th of July, $5 for 16# thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/3841/cheap-charcoal-4thDoubt we will ever see them prices again. 17.88 per 2pk here also...I get a year's worth every Memorial day...as for today's prices, I wanted a new Webber cook-rack, for the Webber I made into a firepit...last one I purchased, 4 or 5 years ago was $12.99...I passed on one today, at $49.99 what the heck??? Derby Club Aromatic, in my Estella 121.

Erinmore Flake in a bent Dr Grabo. Delicious! Don't laugh. It's a fantastic smoker and one of my favorite pipes! lol Nothing wrong with a Dr. Grabow pipe or Erinmore Flake, I’m pretty sure I have over 20 tins of it in my cellar and a jar of it next to my chair right now.

Good Morning! It's 58° with the usual early cloudiness here at dawn. Today I'll clean out the BBQ grill, hose down the deck afterwards, and haul in the bag of charcoal that's in the back of the car. BBQ chicken is on the menu for tonight. Getting the smoking day started with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Two Star Special and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Time to read my book. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday, everybody!

McClellands Christmas Cheer 2007, in a Savinelli Prima Serie 707. A great tobacco, Herb, and even better with age as I'm sure you know. A friend gave me a seven year old tin and it's in my cellar asleep until Thanksgiving.

Good Morning Again and Welcome to the Unofficial First Day of Summer! It's 69° with a mix of some clouds and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Thankfully the neighborhood is quiet...Nice. Getting ready to read my book while smoking a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the BBB billiard and the refilled travel mugga coffee is on the side.

McClellands Christmas Cheer 2007, in a Savinelli Prima Serie 707. A great tobacco, Herb, and even better with age as I'm sure you know. A friend gave me a seven year old tin and it's in my cellar asleep until Thanksgiving. I took it out to the back porch, where a very gentle rain is falling...between the rain, the motion of the swing, and tea, bread, and spice notes, I felt transported back to the days when tobaccos like this were only a phone call away...I thought my old friend Ray, now long passed, who first sent me a tin of Ashley's 44 Dark flake, then followed with samples of McClelland's 24, 25 and 27 a wonderful daydream...and then my wife came out, with her coffee, and pulled me back to the mundane daily routine of life, that makes me so glad to be a pipe smoker... one third bowl of C.C. still left in the pipe!
