Good Afternoon! It's 81° and rising, some clouds are rolling in, but a bit of a breeze is blowing by taking the edge off the warm day. Back on the deck after having lunch and smoking a bowl of Peterson Flake in the BBB billiard with a glass of cold water on the side. Time to get back to my book.

Hey, gang! Taking a break from organizing the garage. Smoking some Plumcake in my Peterson 01 Rocky Donegal. I think my next order will include a pound of this blend. It has REALLY grown on me.

Good Afternoon Again! It's either 86° or 87° depending on weather reporting station location, a light, cool breeze is blowing, and the sky is a mix of white clouds and sunshine out here on the deck. Time to read my book and, at this rate, I'll have to order another one soon. Currently smoking a bowl of Limerick VA Flake in the MM Mark Twain cob with a Vermont Freehand Forever Stem and there's a glass of cold water on the side.

Mac Baren Vanilla Roll Cake in a BC A Metz Origine. Truly a great blend, while being an aromatic this blend, it is a crowd pleaser to the typical non-aro smoker....I bought a pound of it and the Arizona Pipe Club pretty well burned through it. (not complaining) A fine choice if you want a smoke that satisfies while not being offensive (and probably) welcoming to non tobacco types. A win-win blend.

(not complaining) A fine choice if you want a smoke that satisfies while not being offensive (and probably) welcoming to non tobacco types. A win-win blend. Absolutely. In my opinion this is a masterpiece tobacco. It’s an aromatic with no artificial flavors or sweeteners, no PG. The vanilla is gourmet quality. At the same time the tobacco balances perfectly and never disappears or gets overwhelmed. As good of a balance that I believe could be achieved. Amazingly consistent through the whole bowl too. I find it does the best folded, squished a few times and put in the bowl. It looses something if it’s rubbed out too much. I also find that briars like my BC I’m smoking it in enhance the vanilla a bit, while meerschaum enhances the tobacco a touch. I like it in both. It’s in my top three list of tobacco’s I would recommend as must try blends.

A great opinion in your review Ted, you put in print where I lack the ability with my palate, but you nailed it.

Taking a a/c break inside the house at the moment. Having had to evict a wasp and some nests inside of the BBQ grill earlier, it's all washed and there's a bag of charcoal standing by to be called for duty. Time to refill my glass with ice and cold water and then return to the shade of the deck umbrella and more smokes in the MM Mark Twain cob.

Some McCranie’s Red Stag in a large Radice. Their shapes are nonstandard enough to often confuse me, but I think they would call this a Canadian. The baccy is a pure red Virginia with a deal of that vinegary quality a certain defunct brand is famous for. I’m on the patio, so pipe pic will be posted later.

Good Evening! It's 77° with a mostly clear sky and I'm watching the the sun set out here on the deck. It was a good day, tough getting around, but a good day. Read a lot, fired up the BBQ, had a fine meal, and now wrapping it up with my last pipe of the day. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB billiard and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Have a great night, everybody!

Good Morning! It's 63° with a clear sky here at first light and one of the workshop doors is wide open. Not much on the chore list, so I plan on getting in some R&R... reading and relaxation. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of fresh Wessex Brown VA Flake in the Upshall Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Have a good one, everybody!

Made it home safe and sound yesterday. Spent the rest of the day in the backyard. Grilled dinner, had a couple beers with our son, smoked a few bowls of Haunted Bookshop and Friar's Bayou. Started this day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee on the back deck. Time to plant the main part of the vegetable garden with tomatoes, peppers and eggplant.

Spill tray tobacco, mixed with the remaining last quarter-bowl of yesterday's four pipes...I just don't enjoy the end of a bowl all that much. Hats off to the purest, who smoke every bowl down to the heel, but I'm not that guy...so we have bits from two Christmas Cheer bowls, and bits from two Cast #9 bowls{ is your skin crawling yet }all cleaned and mixed with enough fresh #9 to yield two bowls worth of smoking mixture, a Savinelli Estella 616, and a Boswell spot carved Dublin, a big chunk Dublin. I'm smoking the 616 right now, and it's an enjoyable smoke...both will be smoked with coffee, and morning meds.

Gardeners need the occasional break. Planted my tomatoes, basil, parsley and transplanted lettuce. Everything watered. Now it's time for a smoke. More Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob with what's left of the coffee.

Good Afternoon! It's 79° with an absolutely clear sky, brilliant sunshine, and a bit of a breeze out here on the deck. No, Ed, there's no reason to hurry or even to look at a clock on such a beautiful day. I just ordered two new books and I just love sitting out here and reading because it always feel relaxed. Currently finishing up a bowl of Limerick VA Flake in the Upshall Dublin and the coffee is down to a swallow. Time to go inside and turn on the a/c.

MacBaren's HH Flake in a small Billiard which has printed on the shank, "Made in England". However, the Saxon Dog failed to place his name boldly enough to survive the years. Oh, what we Normans must endure.....
